How many mum's with screaming kids are going to care about the price per kilogram? They can see how big something is. Of course it's not done to mislead! The overall price is there, the weight is printed on the item. It's just saying Supermarkets mislead people for the sake of it.

Because they want to sell more.

If you click on the offer link, it will tell you how to take advantage of the offer. When it is BOGOF, you usually need to add two of the item to your trolley, and if there is a discount for buying products from a certain range, they will all be listed in the pop-up window that opens and you will be able to see which products qualify for the discount.
