That's really not true. But I digress.
OP, what qualifications do you have? Depending on your grades, you may not be eligible to get a job with an accountancy firm. There's no point telling you about the job if you're definitely not going to be able to go after it.
Ive got GCSES and Higher education foundation certificate in ICT, Ive spoken to friends who have firms who have said its possible but difficult.Poverty 2012 - F**K My low wage!0 -

He's an accountant, of course he has no communication/social skills. Autism, anyone?Your taking every word i have said literally, do you really not think i would look into a career choice before going with it? Just because i have a wide interest does not mean i dont know what the jobs about.0 -
Dmg, if you have nothing positive to say dont post on this thread!
Std - look at this website - http://www.traintogain.gov.uk/
The government is funding this scheme and it is possible to study for your AAT (an accounts qualification) which is very well recognized. As for employment, try reed, office angels, etc. It is very competitive, but good luck...0 -

Im really sorry SDT, was very tired! Did NOT mean any disrespect...
After reading your message, i just figured it out! Maybe I am slightly illiterate LOL! As you will learn if you study accounts - this is what you call an error or transposition.
Anyway, let me know how you get on with the job hunting and the course?0 -

Er; dmg is a god and knows their stuff, and has said NOTHING negative. The points being made were:
a - those careers are so widespread, perhaps working out what your skill set and characteristics are would be a good pointer to the types of work you could do [for info, someone good at recruitment is usually a different sort of person to an accountant and also to an estate agent] - the point made still stands. It's one thing having a wide interest, it's another being able to hold down a job and be good at it.
b - dmg's response about being an accountant was in response to the comment about sales being related to accountancy and someone saying that it wasn't true. I would never ask any of the accountants I know to go anywhere near sales [no offence like].
As an aside, don't you have to be employed before taking advantage of Train to Gain, as the money goes to the employer? Either that, or self employed. Just a thought.0 -
Again - why post if you have nothing positive worth saying Zazen?
If you think dmg is such a god, then you are v easily pleased?
The point of the OP is for advice not continuous criticism.
Train to gain may be as you said (for those in employemnt), and there will be certain stipulations, but at least it is something to look into...0 -

Telling someone that they might need to look at themselves and apply for the correct jobs is not criticism. I think you are getting confused with just telling the OP what they want to hear.
And there is no point in looking at T2G if you haven't got a job; it's for employers to train their workforce.0 -
