  • Has anyone else ordered the Avon brochure bags and what did you think of them? Just had mine with my latest order, they look professional but are snug (order form has to be folded to fit in) and they are not resealable which i thought they would be (just a flap that you tuck in). Will be using them but when the weather is bad may need to go back to the trusted pound shop sealable bags
  • Hi, i know this isn't a tip, but as you ladies know so much about avon thought this was the best place to ask :o
I have just started college and one of the ladies there had a purple beauty case which she got from avon very recently. Its quite large and has a hard outer shell, ideal for me and she only paid £10!!! I was wondering if you know which item i am talking about also is it still available to order as i can't see it online.
Many thanks for your help
  • I've ordered the new bags but not due my delivery til Thursday so I can't make a judgement til then; I ordered in the hope of looking professional! - just looked on my status and I'm due to receive 7 boxes - this is going to take a while to sort through! :)

  • Hiya ladies and gents,

Well I haven't been on here for over a week so it took me while to catch up on whats happening. :o

Well I am having a very bad campaign at the mo. I have been having a massive string of personal problems have had to move house last minute and haven't had a chance to do ANY avon work

I have just about hit the £78 mark so I will still be earning some pennies :j

I had to move about a mile and half away from my territory, I don't drive so I have requested a new area more local to me. I think I will still keep the customers I have (as there isn't very many of them, so it wont be too hard work lugging cats 1.5 miles).

Placing my order on Friday. But none of the orders are big and bulky.

I'm really coping the next camp is better, I'm feeling quite demotivated at the moment and need a kick up the bum :p

Hope everyone elses is going well

Don't forget that each pack of 20 brochures counts as 1 box, and also any large items which come separately each count as a box, so it may not be as bad as all that ;)
For anyone doing a first order the following may help:

Do a very rough sort-out of the boxes when you've opened them all, and start to sort all the make-up into 1 box, gifty stuff into another etc. (no need to be too fussy - you can continue to sort as you go along)

Put all your order forms into a 'display' folder (one of those with the plastic pockets inside) - makes it easier to flick through your orders to see what's what ;)

Start with the smallest orders and work up to the bigger ones. That way, when you get to the very complicated ones there is less stuff to sort through. If you can't find an item, don't spend ages searching, but just put that order aside - you'll most likely find the item by accident when you are looking for something else. Always have both brochures to hand so that you can check what the item looks like - I don't know how many hours i've spent searching for the wrong thing :p

I put large orders straight into an Avon carrier bag , together with the new brochure, any samples, gifts etc. and smaller orders go into an Avon paper bag then into an ordinary carrier bag (salvaged from weekly shop or bought cheaply on the market). Write the house number, name, and order amount on the outside in marker pen. That keeps order, brochure, etc together and makes things easier to handle as you can loop them on your arm while you sort out the money.

    Hope that helps :D

  • Just looked at my order on Avon for C15.... it looks like they have run out of Wicked nail varnish.....ordered five for customer so I'm really upset....how can they run out of a product that is in the current brochure??

  • Did mine last night and saved it, 3 items low stock but today when looked only one item affected.

Just leave items ordered and hop you get them.

It shouldn't happen with current items though...... the nail varnish for example is a new addition...... it just makes me mad.....

I had that with the heat resistant mats - I ordered 3 and it said out of stock - a day late they were back in stock... Just keep trying :)
