Anyone got the new book bags yet ?
Are they any good ?0 -
Seen a pic of them and they look rubbish - quite flimsy looking, and not resealable!!! So not much good for books! Could be useful for small orders though, or for popping samples/free gifts into so they look a little better I suppose.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

You can hang them off doorhandles tho, might get a pack to try out , think they are 80p for 50 IIRC0

From the pic I've seen it doesn't appear that they have any handles or ties, more like a freezer bag that isn't resealable/or have any tie handles! So would need to make a hole in it to hang it from handles.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

the pic in HT17 they are like little brochure sized avon carrier bags with a round handle on them, I think the americans hang the Avon brochure off door handles so would work for that but the brochure would probably fall out if you posted it thru the letter box lol xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Yeah avon have corrected that picture, saying it is the wrong pic - I wonder who they have working for them sometimes!!! The pic I've seen is from someone on an earlier mailplan who had them delivered the other week, definately not anything like a carrier bag! xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

if you look at HT17 online the pic has been amended so you can see they arent the black mini bag......as lozza said they dont have a handle and arent sealable and are see through... think more plastic bags the sale books come in.
Loads of people on the PC forum are complaining saying they are rubbish.... let the rain in when left outside and they apparently arent very strong either.. so a waste of money!0 -
Well I managed to get the order submitted and sent away phew... i've just checked and it says the order status is 'held' is that anything to worry about?
Also I was wanting to know about this smart start, my asm didn't fill it in How much is it you have to reach to get the make up sample selection and the bumper sample selection.
Another thing.. lol sorry i'm a pain... i was just looking at my intro pack and noticed a flyer for the rep bag and demo bag... it says the rep bag comes with a sample pack, does the demo bag also come with a sample pack??
Thanking you all kindly

Where have you been putting books? xx
ASM finally called me back yesterday, has given me the new territory I suggested as I knew a rep had leftbut neeeeed more sales! xx
Hi Melvis
Ok, here is my list:
with the lady who works in my local Fish and Chip Shop, she has 5 daughters....
with a customer, who is now a friend, she has taken my book to her DS's nursery, and got me 1 customer already. Have offered her a gift for £5 and under for her trouble, per customer who places an order of £10 or more.. great incentive for her to get me lots of customers
with the Receptionist at my Doctor's Surgery
with the Under 1's Group my son used to go to
with a lady, who's niece is terminally ill, I offered to make her a gift basket to raffle to raise money, and when she came to my house to collect it, saw my Avon books and asked to take one as she loves Avon and doesn't have a regular Avon lady
with the Sales Assistant at my local Boots store, she used to be an Avon rep, so knows about it all, she is regularly putting in order of £40 or more each month
other places to leave books:
hairdressers, beauty shops, supermarkets (with the staff, in the staffroom), toddler groups, baby groups, weight loss groups, not done this one yet, have to call them on Monday, newsagents (with the staff), library, banks, schools (staffrooms), your local fish and chip shop, if a lady works there, your local greengrocers, if a lady works there, I have one, doctor's surgeries, dentist surgery's, ask friends and family if they will take a book to work for you.
Hope this helps.0
