Well done Dreamy that's brill!

I collected most of my books last night and got.... £98 or orders! :T Which I'm dead chuffed about. I said to the OH I'd be happy if I got 1 order, at that would mean people wanted it. The main reason I'm doing this is for exercise, and am over the moon that I'm getting paid for it!

First timer mistakes.... forgetting to look for book outside door, ringing bell then having it pointed out to me that it's inches from my feet!
Forgetting to take call-back slips when collecting my largest area! So gotta go round there again knocking and hoping someone's home. But will also drop "thank you for order" notes at the same time... I love multi tasking!

So all in all... so far loving doing Avon!

silvercharming - I swear by odourless garlic capsules to shift colds. Even better, take a few morning and evening at the first symptoms, and you'll kill it before it starts. Since I started doing this I haven't had a cold for 3 years! Check how many mg's they have though, a brand in Tesco were only 2mg, whereas Holland & Barratt will have 1000mg. HTH.

LucyToons and Mousie, it's rubbish having these 'older' complaints at a young age... I've had varicose veins since I was 13. Wouldn't mind so much if it was just a road map on my legs, but there's the bumps as well, I've got contours! :rolleyes: Regarding arthritis - Gillian McKeith reckons that some compound in nightshade veg such as peppers can exascerbate the problem, but this is negated if you cook them up with some Miso soup. Personally I've gotten miso soup in powder form (again from H&B) and sprinkled that on peppers when frying them (OH has weird bone achy thing which isn't arthritis - at 29), comes out delicious! HTH

Just spoke to my AM, and she's given me some more area :j (Pinzy's got the bug)

She made a point of saying "do canvass rather than dropping books". Now because she's made a point of saying that I'd feel really bad if I just dropped them, plus if I ignore a request it's not conducive to future good relations!
So I figure I'll go knocking, good thing is, hopefully most people will be at work so I'll drop a book in with a note saying something along the lines of "I called to see if you wanted Avon but nobody home so here's a book anyway"

Only bummer is my account isn't set up yet, so I can see me spending Thursday & Friday morning putting in orders.

Thank you all who have wished me better - it's worked, I feel quite a lot better today. OH is convinced I got ill because I've been working too hard :rolleyes: Not true, it was just a bad cold! If I'd had a lemsip off all of the customers who offered me one today I'd have OD'd!!! Got another £50 of orders from my last few books, and a few who said they'd email theirs to me by midday tomorrow, so here's hoping...

I've still only got 10 on my team But I have an appointment tomorrow, and some leads to follow up, so here's hoping Also, I'm hoping to tag my first downliner this week as well.

Did anyone else have a focus group at their monthly meeting? We had one at ours on Wednesday and it was fab. They showed us different new layouts for orderforms and brochures, and also asked any thoughts on Avon generally. They gave us a Bond Girl perfume for taking part :j and I also got to tell them of a few of those problems that crop up that shouldn't.

I find you are more susceptible to colds/flu when you are rundown through working hard, and you are more likely to catch the cold/flu virus the more you are in contact with other people. Hermits never get colds coz they don't meet anyone, so you have met a lot more people in the last 2 months than you usually would - perhaps (just guessing) so anyone who has or had a cold will pass it onto you.

Last year I started phoenix trading and I did like 12 craft and christmas fairs over christmas and as a result I got a cold, a flu and 2 throat infections all in the space of 2 months - it was rediculous!!!

I'm glad you got more orders, perhaps you will reach or even exceed your £400 of last campaign

Miscalculated my drops and though I'll be able to cover most of my territory, I don't fancy collecting on Friday morning which is order day!

Hi all...i'm a bit of a lurker on here but love reading all your posts....I
joined Avon in campaign 5 and have been really successful so far. I tend to sell 300-400 pounds a book but incredibly have sales of 870 for c15. The only annoying thing is i have sold 8 bottles of ungaro which i hasten to add i didn't buy on the money maker....aaarrghhh....how frustrating!!!
I wonder if the bond girl will do aswel....mmmm...maybe should stock up incase.
Also forgot to pick up one lady's order and it was too late to add it on to my existing order so had to put it in as a new order, now have to pay 2.50 postage and make NO commision and she's spent 30 quid....how annoying is this. Put it down to experience i guess.

I am in MK as you know, but unfortunately I was only given 20 c15 and I only have about 15 left now to do the half of the road that is on that campaign and also only one week to do it, I have plenty of c14 or c16 brochures if that is helpful?
