Thank you for asking0 -
i'm 28 and have arthritis so I can understand how you're feeling Mousie, but i'm finding that doing Avon is helping quite a bit, keeping my hands busy and also getting me exercising out of the house and some fresh air tootry ebay for tissue paper etc i got some for xmas baskets im making.
I went on one of my streets today in the car and noticed quite a few houses had left my avon books outside!! Grrr........how stupid are some people. You put on when youre going back and they dont leave your book out. So you leave them a note saying ring me if youd like to order and the numpties put the books out then!! Will see if my nephew will pick them up for me!
I went back to the drs today and my kidneys are fine, the swelling and pain is arthritis. Im on steroids for a week now and go back to see him on wednesday, by then he will have the rest of the blood tests back.
Honestly, arthritis at my age(im 30)[/quote]

IT'S RAINING IT'S POURING!
I hate brochure collecting in the rain, but this is not just rain, it's that real heavy rain that you just know is going to continue all....day....long! Booo! I'm hoping it might let up, just for half an hour, then I can sneak out and do it, probably not though. It's a shame coz I was really looking forward to collecting in my orders and now...not so much!

I went out last night collecting and was soaked thru from head to toe when I returned! And today the Sun is shining  I do have to go back and collect the last 5 or so books though as my order goes in tomorrow. One woman said she won't even have a chance to look at the book til tomorrow but she'll pop her order thru the door before 5pmSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Hi all  I've been ill the last few days, so apologies for having missed six or seven pages lol.
I can't believe how nasty the weather is here... but like Mel my C15 is due tomorrow so I have no choice but to go out in it  Even better, I had a customer call at 8.30 this morning asking me to come and collect her order!!!!!!!!!!!! Because she is a regular (well as regular as she can be considering that this is my third campaign lol) she knows when my orders go in and didn't want to be missed out. It should have been put out over a week ago and she's had two calling cards since then, but never mind. She's a good customer so I shouldn't moan.
At the mo C15 looks to be about £300 ish, not bad but I'm a bit disappointed - C14 was great for me, well over £400, and I have an extra road this time too, But then again, I've been focussed more on recruiting, so ho hum.0 -
Hi Silver
Hope you're feeling much better now and sorry you're party didn't go as well as you'd hoped
My orders are around £350 at the moment (customer orders will be showing at about £300 though due to ordering from HT for freebies and backordering to C14 to save money). I'm looking at about being about £10 better off than I would be on the commission of the original orders plus I'll get lots of freebies (some for me and some to put in a hamper to raffle off at my Avon party) To be honest, I probably won't be better off cos I've ordered so many samples and some party invites (are they worth ordering?) and I'm getting the a couple of the 4 for £4 shampoos (some for me, some for freebies for C16 as I've done an incentive on the order forms and some for the hamper) but I'm still set to come out with about £60 commission after all that :T

Poor Kat - it's positively persisting down here too, but then I'm not too far from you as the weather flies
A few wet weather tips (posted before, but very topical today!)
Take LOADS of carrier bags to drop the wet brochures into (soggy poly bags, but hopefully not soggy brochures!)
Tip them out onto an old bath towel - the dog's towel in our house- use another towel or cloth to rough dry.
Put an old tea towel or small towel on the table so that you can fold it over the brochure and blot. Kitchen paper mops up the last. If you use an ink-jet printer for your collection slips, watch for the ink running and marking other things
Make 2 x A5 'wet weather calling cards' by laminating your names & numbers (Excel; print on landscape; cut to slightly less than 1/2 page so you'll have a gap in the middle where the laminator pocket will seal) - you can use a 'chinagraph' (wax type) pencil which writes in any weather. That deals with the 'soggy calling book' problem.
BEST SOLUTION - leave the sodden things till another day! :rotfl:'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum
