    Wow what a thread :)

Can anyone answer my questions about Avon?

What sort of money do you actually earn?

Do Avon do a Credit Check before they allow you to work for them?

Do you need to order out of every book?

How much time do you need to spend doing Avon each week?

    Thanks

    Hiya,

Your earnings very much depend on how much you're prepared to put into it and you can also take the step up to being a sales leader and form your own team of reps.

Avon do credit check but it is usually their own internal systems - as long as you've not done Avon before and run off with the money then you have a good chance. I know of bankrupts that can start Avon.

Ideally you will order from every campaign but it is possible to miss the odd one out. If you miss more than 3 in a row, your a/c will be deemed inactive though.

Time, a tricky one - it depends on whether you just sell to family and friends or take on territory and how big that territory is. On my rep side I only do a couple of book drops per campaign so maybe 10 hours over 3 weeks. I then spend the rest of the time networking and prospecting for new reps for my team whilst looking after my kids.

There are some really great ideas in this thread and if you want to give Avon a go, it's a good headstart plus it costs nothing to test the water.

    Whereabouts are you?.

Slight correction, it is 3 in a row, NOT more than 3. Though it gets extended to 4 during the condensed schedule.

Ah that's useful to know, I have had students sign up who want to be able to stop for a couple of campaigns over the holidays! Thanks !!!!!!.

Hi Marcellep, yep a few sales leaders on here who can answer your questions, so depending on where you are in the UK one of us could come and see you if you want.

Like most people, I won't be asking my customers to use the horrid yellow stickers on my books. I thought I might highlight one or two offers myself, but the wretched things tear as you try to get them off the sheet, so I shan't bother.

However, they did give me an idea  I'm going to ask my customers to tell me what is their favourite Avon product and why, then do a 4-to-a-page flyer to put in with the books. The 5 or 6 I use for the flyer will be rewarded with a small free gift. People might be more inclined to try something if it's recommended by a neighbour ;)

  • So I went out to collect the 20 cats I put out and I only got about 8 back and 2 of them were soaked through, even though they were in bags, so bad they can't be reused:mad: I got two more orders though, so I am now up to £340.00:j
I am really worried though as I am running really short on C9 cats, I have had loads of customers not put them back out and now I don't think I have enough to cover the other side of my territory. I had 40 which I thought would be enough to cover my territory for both campaigns, but I seem to lose at least 10 both times. I think I might have to up my order to 50 cats per campaign, especially as I have now taken on more territory.

So I tried to find the customer that didn't put an address on her order form and no luck. I knocked on a few doors but nothing. So what do I do? Do I order it and hope she contacts me? It is an £11.00 order and I did put a slip in with my number. I was thinking of ordering it and putting in a note with all the cats that I did in that drop (about 20) and asking if anyone ordered and hadn't received their delivery to contact me, what do you think?

I also managed to get the woman in that ordered 2 bubble baths and she said she didn't realise that it was buy one get one free. She said she is happy to get 4 of them though so the order is actually £15.00. Glad I asked.

I still have a few orders to get from work and hopefully the hairdressers and the shop will come through for me. I would be really happy if I could break £400.

Just one more order to get out now before I go on holiday and 3 arranged to deliver after I get back (one territory order, 2 friends ones) :D Got about 30 books to deliver tomorrow to collect when I get back too. Hoping C9 sells better than C8, which was a bit poor  xxx
