Went collecting stray books this morning, and got 2 more orders so feeling pretty good about this campaign as so far the orders are from people who don't order everytime + 2 new people.

Delivered most of my orders too, OH taking some tonight for people who had rung to re-arrange times - but had 6 people not in! Not fun in the rain lol! By the time we got home, ones partner rung so that order is gone, but still leaves 5! Hopefully they will all ring up, but I know one lady definately won't as she never does! Well cheesed off with her, for this order, her book should have been collected on a Friday, wasn't out, left a note saying would call back tomorrow - wasn't out on the Saturday. Drove that way on the Monday, wasn't out & she wasn't in - but on the Tuesday when I happened to go past it was out!!!! Nearly didn't pick the book up...regretting it now lol! I will stick to my guns & not ring her this time (she doesn't have an answering machine anyway) she will have to ring me if she wants her stuff!

  • LOL lozza, I went back 4-5 times for the two customers I have that STILL haven't called to arrange a delivery time, but I have decided I will only go back twice from now on and leave a note then asking to call to rearrange delivery. As you said in the rain it is a chore, I just got soaked delivering 10 cats.

I managed to pick up a few stragglers just now, 3, one with an order. At first I thought she ordered £15.00 worth as that is what she put, however I happened to check the catalogue and noticed that the bubble bath is buy one get one free (didn't know that before). I just wondered if you always check the products people order? I mean, unless I checked the catalogue today, I wouldn't have known it was buy one get one free and I likely wouldn't have noticed on the invoice either. All I really look at is the total and sometimes (like with the charms) I would notice if it is glaringly obvious that I have been overcharged. So I would have charged her £15, even though she is expecting to pay it. I ordered a lot of products last time and this time it seems, I just wonder if customers think we do double check offers for every order?

Does anyone know the code for the starter kit?
    Is it worth getting?

No idea if customers would expect us to - but I do always check their order completey - I check that the code matches the description they have put (sometimes it doesn't!) that the price matches the book - and like you say about the offers, I check that too (though mostly for my benefit lol!) and I always add up their items to check that the total matches what they have written too. It does take a little time, but if you know your books pretty well, & they have put the page numbers then you check just to make sure. I then check the items against the previous/current book to see if there are any creative ordering opportunities which is the best bit :D

If thats the one with the bag then I would say yes! The bag isn't massive, but you can fit a few books in, it has lots of compartments for different bits. I use mine when delivering orders as I can keep my purse in there, leaving me a hand free, along with calling letters & a pen if they aren't in. You also get a full-size bottle of perfume (I got u by ungaro), a lipgloss, a pack of paper bags, and some samples.

Am still waiting for a customer to order the perfume so that I can sell it to them making lots of pennies - think I will be keeping it for myself lol!

I always check, recheck and triple check the orders
but then again I have maybe 10 orders a campaign
so it is easily done for me :D
The good thing about changing the price is people appreciate honesty and will reorder, but I would maybe be tempted to order 2 + 2 freebie that way you still have £15 order and your customer will be chuffed at 2 freebies :D
Life is what you make it;)

  • katie - The starter kit is well worth it imo. The code is 69401. I got a full size Ungaro perfume which I have sold this campaign, I aloso got a full size lip gloss, medium paper bags, order forms and several samples, one perfume, some skin care samples and 4 lipstick samples from different ranges.

lozza - I definitely check for creative ordering opportunities, but I probably wouldn't have checked the bubble bath. I do check to see if they have added up the total correctly too as I had 3 customers last time miscalculate and I would have been out of pocket by about £5.

  • Karen you now have me thinking maybe I should order 2 + 2 and give her 4, I mean if she already thought she was going to spend £15...
I might have to go past her house and ask, she has ordered twice from me now, don't know what the best thing to do is.

Definately worth checking with her, she will appreciate the fact that you are asking and make her more likely to order again next time :D
