Well, just been out to collect and only 2 people (out of 15) had remembered to leave their books out

Knocked on the rest and no one seemed to be in, spoke to one guy though who said his daughter is abroad til Monday and he knows she has been waiting for months to see an Avon catalogue :) Left the brochure with him and am going back on Weds to collect - hoping for a good order from her :)

Might nip out later on tonight when DS asleep to try and collect the rest, if not, will knock again tomorrow when collecting the ones put out yesterday...
  • Just got a £22 order from one of my colleagues so that now takes me to just over £300:jwith cats still to collect. This campaign didn't start out too well, but it now seems to be taking off! I managed just over £400 last campaign but that was because I ordered over £100 worth of stuff:eek:, so this campaign has exceeded my last one so am pretty chuffed.

    Well done :D

That'll probably be me this campaign lol have to do something drastic to get up to MOV at this rate :rotfl: Although I have seen a lot of things I need in the catalogue, a girl can never have too many lipsticks and nail varnishes.... right???
  • jovichick I totally agree with that, although I am restricting myself from now on. I started Avon so I could earn extra cash to put towards holidays and although I am getting loads of nice makeup out of it, I would rather have the money at the moment. I would recommend busting your butt this week to get orders from customers, even if it does mean trekking about loads to get round your territory. It will be worth it to hit MOV, or you never know HOV without having to order anything yourself. That girl you go back to on Wed might give you a great order;)

Got an e-mail from my ASM saying she needs SL in my area - only on my 2nd Camp and finding that a bit confusing as it is - not sure whether I should say I want to do it, although the extra money would be handy. I don't know anyone that wants to do it either...

Jovichick, were your books in bags? Quite often, if it's raining, my customers keep the book indoors as they don't want it to get ruined (despite my gripseal bag). Popping out this evening should hopefully do the trick :)

Somehow, I can't see you having a problem reaching HOV ;)

Thats a good point, part of the territory I have had a massive (and I mean HUGE) puddle outside it this am so maybe they have headed out to work and kept the books inside. Either way, will catch them either tonight or tomorrow and will know then. Feeling quite positive about this girl who is abroad, her dad said she usually orders all her cosmetics from Avon :)
  • Lyndsey, that is a bit of a dilemma. Part of me would love to try and be an SL but I don't know of anyone yet that would like to do Avon although like you the money would come in handy. Is there anyway you can do it but take your time to build up a team? It is difficult as you and I have only done 2 camps and it is hard enough to get to grips with the ins and outs or territories, campaigns, back ordering and so forth. It is a bit much after only 2 camps. I am thinking I may look into it more after about 6.

You are probably right Summer - I still can't get round the whole territory yet - still about 20 houses short this camp, so next camp should get to them all. Have a few camps like that, get to grips with the customers then think about it. I am ambitious but I know if I take on too much too soon I will just give up on it all!!
  • I agree Lyndsey. I am pretty ambitious myself but have a habit of thinking I am Wonderwoman and end up taking on way too much. I want to get settled into Avon first. I have already taken on more territory so until I get my areas flowing nicely I won't even consider applying to become a SL, although I think it would be pretty good. I suppose the first one I could sign up could be OH:rotfl:
