Avon are a business they work in there own best interests not the reps i guess, they even have the website advertised on the brochures

Not sure what mail plan but i think it must be the same as you C5 orders have to be in on 5Th March
  • My sales leader told me I am the only avon rep in my area, but when I have been going and collecting my books I have had no orders, because there is a woman in ny tiny village that already has all the avon customers the village has, but being new around here I did nit know this. What should I do? Surely my sales leader should have told me about her?

    hi grace
firstly contact your slaes leader. if those are your allocated houses then the other woman should not be covering them?or if your sales leader knew about the other woman should have assigned you another area?
if no luck get in touch with your area manager she should def help

That must be horrible! I said this to my SL when she was joining me up and all she could say was that online you have to pay delivery so it doesn't lose customers... But if I could get the things I wanted 3wks before I'd probably pay the £3 odd charge. People want things quick these days...
How frustrating... I can see them losing reps over that...

I know what you mean - my sister asked one her neighbours that she's friends with if she wanted to look at the book (she told her about it being her sister doing it, I've met the lady before and she's really nice) - all her friend said was I've just ordered some stuff from the website!!! Never said, o I'll order of your sister in future:rolleyes:

I can see the point about people wanting things sooner - but I know if I wasn't a rep, and someone delivered me a book, I'd rather order from them than the website as then I know someone else is getting a cut of the money, rather than it all going straight to Avon, if that makes sense! Plus, Rep's give you freebies too which the website won't! :p

I've got some sales booklets saying "SALE 6" - I assume those are to go in with campaign 6 books? I've also been given a few bookmarks advertising the garden set & tatty teddy figure (from C6) that it says I can put in with C5 with me being on a late mail plan? Is that right? Don't want to put them in if the people can't actually order the products!

    Anybody able to help?

Hi Lozza! Yes and Yes ... Sale 6 books are for C6 brochures and the bookmarks are for use in C5 for early Easter goodness! xx

Ooh i never got the bookmarks but my C5 order goes in on thursday so easter is a while away!

I can understand how frustrating it is about the internet, i know i have lost customers too it... afterall why would someone wait 3 weeks for a delivery when the website can get it there in 5-7 days? PLUS theyusually offer free delivery over £20... and theres often discount codes going round for 10-20% off or some kinda freebie... and if you go through a cashback website you can get about 15% back there too!   I'm sure AVON would prefer people to use the website as they dont have to pay a rep commission then do they?!!

I'm a bit annoyed my campaigns are one book ahead of being ideal... i.e. im submitting my c5 now for delivery next week but c5 is the mothers day book which isnt for nearly 3.5 weeks after my delivery! And my C3 delivery with all the valentines stuff in came mid january! Only the people who are on my "backordering" campaign get the books at the right time! Then they miss out on sale stuff usually  :rotfl: You cant win!!

Lol yeah - I gave most of my customers C3 books, with the Valentines stuff - but my delivery was today! Obviously no good to them, but nobody mentioned anything - I'm guessing none of them look at the website (at least I'm hoping not!) Will be a lot worse around Christmas I guess, I might put all my customers onto the same book then else they'll be looking at Christmas stuff in January which would be strange!!!

Hmmm I'm starting to wonder if it's worth me doing Avon now seeing as the website is so good with the offers and free delivery etc... I can make £50 quite quickly on Dooyoo and reckon it would take a lot of work to generate that kind of cash from Avon each month.

Perhaps the SL can change my mind, if she gets back to me that is!
