In the last delivery i put some moisturising samples in as i thought he could use them too... It worked he as actually ordered alot of it.. So samples do work, we do need more things for men tho. I have emailed avon stating that and they said that my comments have been noted.
I have also asked about a baby range as most new mothers could order from us.
What do you think?
Baby range would be perfect - I am a new mum and have loads of new mum friends and are always looking for stuff and running out of things etc - a definite winner in my book :beer:0 -
My C2 order was supposed to be delivered on Friday, but never turned up. Spoke to the courier company today and they tried to deliver it at 7am. I always have it delivered to my work address and it normally comes late afternoon. It wasn't the normal driver and he did the drops back to front!
I work on a small business estate and no-one opens until 9am. It is now supposed to come tomorrow, but it doesn't leave me much time to drop off my orders, collect the money and pay before next order on Monday.

:j WOW!
Just been out to collect books from my customers from C2 and the whole of my (newly enlarged) Area 2 - the back-order bit. Having added up the results, I've collected 14 orders totalling around £200, which makes my total for the order due in tomorrow over £300.
I thought there was no money around? It's amazing what the possibility of something for nothing will do, as I'm doing a prize draw this time

Hi everyone - I wondering what people find better - just putting brouchures through the letterbox or knocking on doors? I work Mon-Fri and don't get home till 5-6... I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with everything!
I've got loads of samples, ordered around 50 brochures that will be delivered tomorrow.
I only wanted something simple that was going to earn me a little money and free makeup! Help!!0 -
Calm down dear........it's only [STRIKE]a commercial[/STRIKE] an Avon Round
I know some people swear by door-knocking, but I have to say I think you can shoot yourself in the foot by doing that. When I started I knocked on doors and, out of a group of around 20-30 houses, only had a handful of people who wanted brochures. A few weeks later, I pushed brochures through anyway, and now I've got a number of customers from those same houses - mostly people who didn't want the books at first
I think that if a book comes through the door, people are tempted when they see something that appeals, and having bought once will buy again. The first time I deliver a brochure, I put a note asking people to tick a box if they don't want a brochure in future, but if they don't tick, they get one anyway!
It can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but if you stick with it then you'll get into a routine. These wretched 2-weekly campaigns don't help - it will be much easier when there is a 3 week gap again. It helps to keep a diary to write on exactly what you have to deliver/collect when, otherwise you find yourself forgetting which day you said you'd collect'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

HI Everyone
I agree with Ellie. I find it better putting books through doors rather than knocking doors (which would take longer). If people don't want a book they will tell you, if not first time then maybe next time or time after that.
I was wondering how many times do you put a brochure through the door of someone who doesn't order anything before you stop, apart from when someone says they don't want a book. Is it when they don't order on the 2nd or 3rd time or do you keep putting a book through hoping one day they will order something??
Thanks

Elliebee - Well done on your sales!! thats brilliant!!!!!!!!:j
Sessal - Im on my 6th campaign and am still just putting through doors unless Ive been told they arent interested... if the book isnt left out and i have to knock to collect it in the evening then i ask them if they want to receive a brochure next time.... i agree with Ellibee and think people may be more tempted if its there on their doormat than the chance to say no before they have even seen it!
I have just dropped to 22 houses that have not ordered in the 3 campaigns they have seen books... ive included a free sample and spatula of the solutions range (which will be changing soon so clearing out my samples!) I'm hoping the "freebie" will tempt them to open up the bag and look at the book. I will be dropping for a few more campaigns to "never ordered" people - probably till they have seen 6 books - and then will wait to drop again again till summer (for the suncream) and then again at xmas...
I got a letter hand delivered through my door yesterday.... it was from my ASM telling me there are vacancies in our area for sales leaders and since ive done so well despite my "short time as a rep" she'd like me to sign up..... and a flyer for a "sales leader business meeting" next monday....... I'm not interested just yet... id like to do repping for at least 12 months first! I also cant drive and we dont have a car so how she thinks i'll be able to do it I dont know... then again she tried to sign me up as a SL at my initial sign up.....:rolleyes:0 -
Thanks to everyone for answering my question - I feel loads better now and will start putting through doors on Friday after work! fingers crossed!0
