Nah I didnt order any sign up packs as my ASM gave me about 20 lol I will go spunge some off her then if your supposed to get them with it!
Yeah that's what I did before I had to start ordering my own packs lol
You can only order 2 packs for free even when your an SL otherwise you get charged 15p a apack for them.0 -
Thank-you silvercharming. I am really determined to give this a really good go so am going to ask my ASM for another street. The area is pretty uncharted as its a village which has not had Avon in most of it before. I am also going to try the "spend £20 and get a free gift" idea on the next round of books.Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!0

Evening all
Order arrived late but all was present and correct and another box full of freebies :j Haven't attempted to deliver orders tonight as it's Halloween and if my customers are anything like me they won't answer the door :rotfl:so will drop them tomorrow along with lots more books and I need to collect books and organise a party for tomorrow night  busy day ahead!! Sorted all my books out today though so they're ready for delivery.
madmentaldede ... I too work all day Monday-Friday (and the occasional Saturday) and find most people answer the door if I call between 6 and 7pmSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Also I emailed my asm last Saturday and again on Tuesday asking for more territory and she hasn't replied  she sent out a mass email monday reminding to place orders etc and added on the end, "if you need anything, email me and I'll get back to you this evening" :mad:Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0

Mel, have you considered emailing to say you're considering becoming a sales leader and also can you have some territory, or that you'll quit if you don't get more? :rotfl:bet you'll get her attention then! Seriously, I know ASMs are busy, but it's not right not to get back with territory requests - just because the size of order doesn't really affect them so much.
I did one delivery this evening, and the couple pretty much tried to force halloween sweeties on me! We don't really get trick or treaters round here, but everyone buys sweeties in just in case... they're left over and we get to eat them ourselves the next day0 -
She's crazy (in a good way, if you know what I mean?!) so if I even suggest I want to become an SL then I'll end up doing it as her enthusiasm will pick me up and throw me in at the deep end :rotfl:Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0

Gah. Just had a call from a lady who apparently already covers the area that I've been given. I'd been told that she only did family and friends and so it was fine to do the territory, but apparently not. I've given the whole territory books and ordered more for next campaign now. Doubt I'll get any back, and don't know what I'm going to do with the new ones.
It's quite odd. I'd been shown her details before I took the territory on and it said she didn't order enough to earn any commission, just doing family and friends. I've also got a couple of orders, one for almost £40 worth of stuff, which seems unusual if they're already covered; I'd added a note introducing myself as the new Avon representative.0 -

Spudnik, speak to your ASm. I had this happen on part of my territory, same old story, tiny orders but claimed about 200 houses were 'hers', even when I pointed out that I'd just collected £300 of orders from half of them and showed her the printout showing that it had clearly been assigned to me! In my case it turned out the lady in question had her territory taken off her because she wasn't canvassing it properly. The ASM told her to give me a list of her customers and I agreed not to visit those houses. As it happens some of those customers have since defected to me, actually knocking my door and asking to become my customers, not something I encouraged as I thought it would cause more hassle with her, but she doesn't do her job properly and has alienated these people because of that, so it's her problem.
I think sometimes seeing another rep do the territory makes people realise that they could have done well if they'd got off their ar*es sooner, then they lash out at us. I would say don't get into a conversation with her, don't promise to back off or anything because YOU are in the right. Then contact your ASM. If you really don't want the hassle you could change territory, but why should you? She is the one in the wrong.0 -
Thanks silvercharming - I've called my sales leader who said that she'd speak to my ASM, but will try and call the ASM myself if nothing comes of that. When I was knocking to pick up brochures on Friday I actually had one of the customers ask if I was doing it for good, and when I replied yes (before I knew about all of this!) she said 'good - I'd stopped ordering from the old one because she was miserable but will start buying again now!'
It's not a massive territory - only around 120 houses - but the money would really come in handy. Her details say that she had 4 customers last order, and her average customer base consisted of 7 people, and that she only ordered 10 brochures.
Thanks for your support. :beer:0
