Switching to capped service question

I've been with freedom 2 surf for just over a year now on unlimited package at 512kb.

When I log into my account with them it shows my monthly bandwith usage to be around about 1200MB a month, I've only ever gone over 2000MB once during the year by 86MB.

They do a lite package with a cap of 2GB and if you go over you can buy another GB for £1.50. The speed is also 2MB. This works out £7 a month cheaper than what I've been paying.

This seems to be a far more sensible option for me, but just wanted to make sure that I was understanding it ok. This 2GB cap relates to bandwidth usage, right? One GB is equal to 1000MB, yes?

Sorry to sound ignorant, but that's because I am :D
