Not neccessarily, we are a family of 7 and were only allowed £50 a month for all of us.

I was allowed £20 but that was just for me, I'm sure the guidelines are for £20 pp - £50 a month wouldn't go very far for a holiday for 7 people!!

  • Your clothes is a bit low compared to things like sky, I can understand about wanting it due to no aerial, but you could lower it to the basic package which is around 15-17 a month?? We have no aerial either and no sky, we have our TV aerial plugged into an old cable box to pick up channels 1-5!

Tell me about it! We thought 20 each too but was quite shocked with 50 between us!! Although for us something is better than nothing as we dont holiday at all and havent for years.

Your life cover seems a bit high, we got cover for two for 20 a month a short while back. We cancelled it completely when we started to struggle.

Your sky could be lowered, its amazing how you get used to having 5 channels when your skint lol.

Are your mobiles contracts? Is it for 2? Check if you can get a better deal if you havent already.

Clothing for 4 seems a bit low.

What are the child expenses? Are they vital?

    What does entertainment cover?

I wouldnt have thought school meals count as a luxury?? But could be wrong. Is there any other way to get to school other than taxi? If not then I cant see the harm putting it down (I would anyway), if you dont ask you dont get!!!

Fair enough about the contract, but surely this isnt the lowest package? You can get a mix of 2 entertainment packages for 17 a month, multiroom is only an extra 10 a month and skyplus is free now.???

School meals are not a luxury and are not seen as so, three of my kids get school meals now and were allowed them.
