Well if it doesn't grow, it will stop you spending it at least.
It's hard trying to do it all isn't it. Maybe we need a 'i wanna be mortgage free but all this other stuff needs doing first' club.

I'm still gonna stick here on the MFW board though as you never know what will happen. I may set up a OP fund for just £10p/m as every little helps
Its such a nice today that I shouldn't be mopey about money, especially when it's our choice to get a car and do up the bathroom. Some veg seeds have been planted optimisically in the garden so we'll see if they sprout
A work collegue has invited us over to see if there's anything we want for the baby. He's offered us a cotbed, travelcot, pram and car seat for free! :T He has a rocker and baby monitor too which we can have a look at. Am feeling very luckyCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

It's Friday!!!!!!! :j
And it looks like it'll be a nice one tooHave got the NCT sale tomorrow and a girly night in with ice cream too. I plan to play in the garden Sunday if the weather holds.
We went and watched our friends iceskate yesterday which was a giggle. I would have iceskated too but DH bribed me with a facial if I didn'tSpent £26 though on pizza afterwards though:eek: total rip-off.
Had a mw appoint which went well and have got to give blood next week  oh well, its got to be done. Baby is very wiggly which is fine about half the time and the rest of it is just uncomfortable.
Chicken fajitas for dinner tonightand a choc ice to follow

That's the right attitude to have! We are very lucky. We're here, we have this great forum which helps us put our financial heads on, and our nice friends give us lovely free stuff!

Yay for Friday- and for ice cream!! in fact even though its only 8am you have made me think I may have to go out and buy some....purely medicinal mind you as I have a sore throat!
hope you and bump doing okay - I forget how long you have to go?
Definitely stay put here, its a really supportive place and my OPs are only a tenner a month at the mo due to needing bathroom done so we can be £10 buddies together! :rotfl:0 -
As a virtual OP-er I support everyone making baby steps to mortgage freedom. I think people like Michelle and SeriouslySeeking are right, we are getting to grips with a prudent lifestyle - as comparied to DH's friend, for example. Dh is going to visit him tomorrow, the friend cannot come here as he is skint until payday. On payday the friend will feel so flush that his money will fly out on boy toy treats etc, and he will be brassic by mid month. Well paid chap but can't match his month and his money. An achy SmlSave reporting in
We got to the NCT sale 40mins before the doors open and the queue was already almost once round the building! Thankfully it stayed dry and I picked up two sleepsuits, 10 reusuable nappies and muslin clothes for £11. MIL spent £16 on toys for the niece and nephew and then both Mum's insisted on buying new baby sleepsuits as a gift.
The ice-cream was lovely TYO, did you end up getting yourself any? We watched a tacky film and almost fell asleep on the sofas :rotfl:
I'm 27 weeks now which I think means 10/11 more weeks of work. Not that I'm counting down of course....;) I'm just really sleepy and achy - feel really top heavy!
Summer is definitely on its way SS2Svarious veg seeds have been planted, weeds pulled up and I even swept the paving ..... 10mins later a blackbird came along and decided to chuck moss all over it again
