  • Anyone who wants to spend New Year abroad....you can at least get your outward sailing for 1p:

    09.30 on 31st December
    12.20 on 31st December

    all at 1p
  • Evening 'supermarket raid' 2p return for any insomniacs living in the SE....

    outward: 16.25 on 12th November
return: 02.45 on 13th November (10 hours later)
  • Dear All

Before I go further a great post but be careful. I have been looking for a day return with the code its £25 each way the only 1P I can find is 2.30am in the morning. Thens its £25 return. I left out the code and the price morning and afternoon was £12.50 each way.

This is not a knock at the person who posted this just be aware it may work out cheaper not to use the code. also you get a better timed crossing.

    good work keep it up!!!

I just looked on their website and now I understand this. It's because Seafrance do another special offer of £25 for a DAY RETURN (no code required)....so you are right, in so much as if people want ONLY a day return, but can only find the 1p in one direction, then they might be as well to leave out the code. But for all other bookings the code should be used to get the 1p crossings and 2p returns. In other words, if you use the code, the £12.50 special offer fares don't show up because you can't combine offers.

It treats a day as being between 00.01 and 23.59 (roughly speaking) though I managed to get a trip out at 12.20pm and back at 02.00am which is technically less than a day for 2p.
  • have been trying this since just before midnight and still no 1p fares :( poor dh has to get up at 6 so think i'll give up if they aren't on by 2am... between me, the cat attacking his feet and the neighbours' newborn screaming, don't think he'll have had the best sleep
  • Does anyone have any experience of going over as a foot passenger? Everything on the linked website seems orientated around going by car (I don't have a car and don't drive) but I quite like ferry trips and fancy going over to France for a day (or two) to pig out on the food/blow away the cobwebs. I'd hope to be travelling by public transport (from London).

    Any ideas?
  • Does anyone know if the code is valid for return trips STARTING from Calais? I'd be grateful for any info!

I can't find any reference to the deal on the website and wondered if they'd suspended it because of the Eurotunnel fire?

Yeah, i bet the £1 deal has gone now that they can rake in more cash from the fire in the tunnel.
