Hello, I received a phone call this moring from 02920368767 but didn't answer the phone as I didnt recognise the number. Do you kno who these people are?
I wondered if it had anything to do with me getting a new phone and sim card.
Can I report them in any way?No More Buying Books: read 0/25; Bought: 0

Funny enough, when I was on Virgin and also T-Mobile I always got calls from 3rd Party Service providers offering cheap texts/calls........or rather the Bombay call centre representing them. Now Iv been on o2 for a year now and never recieve a single sales call from anyone. Id be suprised if many companies didnt sell customers out to the wide market. Even our own DVLA does it.
I've been on O2 for a few years and didn't get any of these calls until a couple of months ago when I upgraded to a new phone. I never answer calls from numbers I don't recognise so I never actually found out who this was but I did recently read about a company trying to flog dodgy phone insurance. I found an option on my new phone to automatically reject calls from a specified number so I set that up and the calls soon stopped. I'm not sure how they got my number in the first place though :think:The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

I was called this morning by 02920 368767, I answered even though I didn't recognise the number, because I am activley looking for work and it might have been one of those 'rocking horse poo' ones that gets back to you. (but thats another rant)
Imagine my disappointment and annoyance when a guy went into full pitch saying
"we're MRL and its our job to advise people on the little known fact that if you have over £3000 of debt you are entitled to a debt managment plan"
Straight away my guard went up "What are you trying to sell me?"
"Nothing, its our job to simply advise you" was the response. "...do you have over £3000 in debt?"
"how did you get my number, are you one of those junk email companies I simply keep deleting?"
"We don't send emails" "....Do you have over £3000 of debt?"
again my guard was up "I don't want to discuss that with someone I don't know"
"but we're here to help you with a debt managment plan"
"Well maybe I'll just go and google that then"
"Do you have over £3000 of debt?"
"Thats none of your business!"
He hung up !
who wants a cheeky quid that the 'L' in MRL stands for loans.0 -
It gets better, just had a text from a mobile number 07786 202395 saying:
"Hi Julie, if you have loans, cards, finance pre-April 07 get them legally written off, call 0845 3445660 or reply YES for callback. txtSTOP2optout "
Clearly a scam to receive texts or calls - no chance, I never opted in !!!!
Its the Lies that really annoy me - no way could you write off debt that easy, too good to be true usually is !
Any advice on how to get rid of these calls/texts would be appreciated folks. Thank you x0
