Who are these people?

I've been plagued by phone calls on both landline and mobile for the past 2 days.
0292 085200 and 0292 0368767 so from Cardiff!
Seem to want to give out 'free information' about the credit crunch but the opening line of the conversation is 'do you have any debt' When I told the bloke that it was none of his business he turned really aggressive and nasty. I just hung up!
The first number rang my landline about 14 times yesterday and when I answered I just got a high pitched beep -I know it's an automatic dialler thing but no-one ever spoke! Today the second number rang my work mobile so I answered it and got the obnoxious little twerp.
I'd LOVE to report them, can anyone tell me how to find out who these people are please?

Christ, 14 times! Im glad I leave my phone line unplugged.
I just eventually let the answermachine pick up but I had to answer my business mobile. Funnily enough it's on the Vodafone network, seems from the comments on the site linked to above that most are on that one. Vodafone selling numbers???

Funny enough, when I was on Virgin and also T-Mobile I always got calls from 3rd Party Service providers offering cheap texts/calls........or rather the Bombay call centre representing them. Now Iv been on o2 for a year now and never recieve a single sales call from anyone. Id be suprised if many companies didnt sell customers out to the wide market. Even our own DVLA does it.0

I've been getting them for the past few days, the phone rings once and then stops. I'm with vodafone as well..."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Wow I'm glad I haven't gotten any calls like that here in Hawaii!!! I'd be !!!!ed off. I highly doubt I'd be able to hang up on the person. But then again, maybe if you recognize the number as being from the same location, maybe have a tape recorder handy and mess with the person. LOL0

I would give them what for, but as it is, the phone rings once and no more, not enough time to find my phone in my bag let alone answer it."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I wonder what the point of letting it ring once and hanging up is all about. Do they want you to call them back? Weird.0 -
have you checked your credit report lately (eg expererian, etc)
if yes, I'll let you draw your own conclusion
if not, just ignore me, I'll soon go away0 -
Nope, I haven't.
Kalamaker - I think that's the point, they want you to call them so you can listen to their sales pitch."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
