Painting a bumper - help!

Hi - in a nutshell.
Wife's lease car goes back on Monday and the bumper has a few scrapes from some kind parker. I bought a tin of spray and it's been a disaster. Masking tape (i know, i know) has left bubbles and the paint is worse than before.
So , I reckon I need to smooth the bumper down and cut my losses with a paint stick.
Tips please? Thanks very much.

i would go and get a cheap blowover at a garage, explain your situation to them0

Trouble is a 'cheap' blowover will still be about £100 with paint, materials and a blend, unless you want it to look very obvious!?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

But that £100 will be 1/3 of the charge that the lease company will make:money:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

It's a lease car, they will see the difference and charge you for replacement. Plus im guessing the car is less than 2/3 years old, there's not many cars in the breakers that old!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Correct.
It's looking like a 100 quid patch up job methinks.0 -
you could buy some cellulose thinners ....wipe off what youve done, it wont touch the original paint if your fast ( i.e dont leave the rag on it to soak )
maybe post up a pic and we might be able to give some diy tips?
or try a mobile chips away van to spray it in your driveway0 -

you would be suprised, my local scrap yard has over 3000 cars all on racks, from ferraris to hummers, incredible, just a shame they dont let me anywhere near them0 -
