Liek I said, even if the first outing is 1 minute its a start. Is there a mate you can team up with to keep yourself motivated? I found entering a run helped keep me focussed to start with too. Would have been doing the Glasgow 10k at the weekend if OH hadn't got me in this condition:p

You are gorgeous and if you want to be fit with it, then he should be encouraging you where possible..... not discouraging so he feels better about himself...

One day in the staff room recently, I jokingly suggested we enter for the Bupa 10k run next year, just after one of the TA's did it this year. Shockingly several of the other TAs and teachers took me seriously and have been discussing us running it as a team
