We had Bon Jovi - Always. Not really what I wanted (I wanted The Pretenders - I'll Stand by You), but it was okay.
To be honest, a lot of the wedding wasn't what I wanted, but it's about the marriage, not the wedding, I guess.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Yes, I enjoyed it despite of that too
Even despite the farmer nearby deciding to do muck-spreading during the speeches (hubby stood up and said 'sorry about the smell, I think the best man was a bit nervous about his speech...' :rotfl:).
Maz, funnily enough I always thought that was a bit of a cheesy song, but then friends of ours had it for their song, and when it got to the bit about 'they said, I bet...they'll never make it but just look at us holding on..', I found myself sobbing!!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Love that poem Maz
The wedding I was at a couple of weeks ago, the best man had put together a photo slide show (major panic on the day when Powerpoint wouldn't work :rotfl:) of mainly very unflattering pictures of the groom, accompanied by daft stories, it was really well done.. and he finished off with lovely pictures of the happy couple accompanied by UB40's 'I Can't Help Falling In Love With You'.... sniffle...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

We spent considerably more than £2,000:o (pre MSE and I'm too scared to admit the full cost on here but will say we saved 2/3 of it in the run up to the 'big day') but it was so worth it as we got exactly what we were after. we got married and had the reception in the Castle which gave us a great excuse to restrict numbers to 50 guests (incl top table) and meant there was no pfaffing about with cars. A third of the spend went on an amazing honymoon - 2 weeks in mauritius which Hubbles organised all by himself. I didn't know where we were going until the morning we left. The only slight blot on our day was the fact I was sitting an exam a week after so our honey moon was delayed by 2 weeks.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
