Laptop password - my silly 16 year old daughter!!

We bought her a new laptop for her 16th birthday and she has forgotten the password :eek: What can we do

start it up on safe mode and your dauhters account will be there and there will be a administrator accout there go on the administrators accout . then go on control pannel and then go on user accounts and look for your dauhters account click on it and click remove password then shut it down and start it up normally and her account will be there with no password on and click and enjoy . .2013 wins..... I did this and took out the bios battery (looks like watch battery) from under the keyboard and left it out for a few hours and so it forgot I had set passwords, I then had to reload everything back on but it was worth it.
I am sure there are some better ways to do it and everyone on here is really helpful. I got the instructions on how to do this on student laptops UK they even sent me diagrams on how to do it!

if its a Dell then a call to customer service will supply you with an overide master password

Yes it's the log in details as an administrator (if this makes sense) - it is windows vista.0
