Though I liked the bit near the end where he said house prices would fall at least another 50%.chewmylegoff wrote: »it was pointless and conveyed no useful information whatsoever. the program seemed to be more about sentimentality than property.0 -

OH and I watched it, while packing for our holiday, and found it rather interesting. Clearly in a minority, however!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

I thought the historical aspects were interesting - the footage of Notting Hill when it was a slum in the 1950s was jaw-dropping.
Is there another one? I'll be watching if there is.Stercus accidit0 -

And I loved it when he said something like, "£6 million seems like quite a lot, but it's got 3 bedrooms....." !?!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
I remember coming into Paddington by train in the 50`s. Block after block of slums. At the time there was still a lot of evidence of the blitz. In the 70`s I often went to Notting Hill on business. Very run down and lots of hippies. I wonder just how many people can really afford London prices. My guess is that the flat in Notting Hill would cost well over £3k a month in mortgage repayments.0
