Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
They finally answered after just over 2 hours. I spoke to someone in customer services who put me on hold whilst they went to ask theor supervisor something and then they came back and HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0

Is there a corporate email address for complaints by any chance?
I have been waiting 1 hour twenty mins now on the freephone number.
The engineer that replaced my faulty box today did not pair it up with the card saying it takes him too long to get thru on his mobile and that he had sent a signal from the new box so it should be online in two hours.
That was at 10am this morning!0 -
I've currently got my phone on loudspeaker on the freephone sky number.
93 minutes and counting ! I could have walked to the call centre quicker ! The automated message said it anticipated the call would be answered in under 24 minutes......
I am really wishing I had never ever got sky. When it goes wrong it seems to go very wrong. I have a box that loses picture and switches into some sort of hybrid mode and now having to wait ages on the phone for some technical support.....
Am wondering if they'll even answer the phone tonight as it's past 10pm.....
