Sorry I do not see that, it is the American way they have to do it bigger and better than anyone else. Even housing bubbles!

This is spot on. The UK is bad, but the US is worse. It said on BBC Breakfast this morning that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae own something like 5 trillion worth of mortgages which is half of the whole US and is 25 times the amount of Northern Rock.

The thing about UK Sub prime is that the mortgage fixed rates were reasonably high compared to the US, so going onto the SVR will not be such a shock.

Just had a look in the FTSE 250, builder’s shares in double digit gains also.
Jeez, they've lost about 90% of their value over the last year. They jump 5% from rock bottom and you're calling the end of the credit crunch. you couldn't make it up

I think TW went to 26p bottom. Now nearly 62p is that 5%?
    Have we called the end?
Do you have a problem with any positive news?

Try this one. HBOS shares used to £12. Now they struggle to get over £3. Are you going to call the end of the credit crunch everytime their shares go up 10%? They've been going up 10%, down 10% on a regular basis for the last few months. If it's positive when they go up 10% I presume you'll be saying it's negaative news when they go back down 10%?

Oh nearly forgot, welcome back AGAIN justpurchased. how long are you back for this time?

As anyone called the end. Just quoting the news and showing there is some confidence in the market.
You seem offended by that! (Which is a bit weird, unless you have a reason for wanting the banking and building markets to fail.)

Oh forgot to say also.... You are so funny:rolleyes:. Would you just like an “agree with me board” somewhere!

Lazarus, sorry I mean justpurchased, I trust you'll be putting your money where your mouth is and buying banks and building company shares?

Or at least you would do so if you had any money .
