i went to tesco's yesterday... to get packed lunch stuff... and ended up coming out with a £17 DVD player, a new sky remote, and a nice top, all not really essential for lunches....

I could justify any of the purchases really as erins dvd player is broken totally, the top was nice and needed for work (wearing today and is lovely) and our sky remote is held together with tape...

however the most hienous part is that i used captial one card topay for it....... so it has been put in a tub and put in the freezer! for dire emergencies only from here on in.....

sorry! am off to update my sig.... much ashamed!

In the grand scheme of things £60 is nothing to beat yourself up about, especially after the great strides made this month! If you can't live a little its so much harder!

I know how you feel though. I'm doing a debt shuffle this month. Using cash to pay into OD and spending for mat stuff on lower interest Egg card:o

I have done a few of the jobs that I set myself to do today.

This morning I went to Lidl to buy stuff from my shopping list which I mostly did but I also came out with a rug costing £3.99 - it is only small and its shades of orange (sounds icky but its not) and it is currently sitting in my hall way. Now I feel cheered up with my cheapo purchase. Oh and my shopping bill including the rug came to £12.10:j

Nice one:T I had a mooch around at lunctime but didn't get anything other than JL baby catalogue and lunch (sausage roll was yum!) Was looking for a wipe clean place mat to put under Casper's food bowls (its amazing how much mess something so adorable looking can make!) but no luck - any suggestions welcome...

We always use those mats designed for messy children, you get some fab designs. My absolute fave one we got one year had a periodic table on it -like a child young enough to need a spill mat, could learn his periodic table whilst sucking a rusk :rotfl:

They were always for sale at seaside resorts, with the rock and the postcards

Been there done that but hopefully better at things now, don't take cards with me just enough for what I intend to buy, can be very annoying when you see a bargain, but gives me time then to make a choice :D and go all the way back home for more:mad: if I give in
