Hi,
I have £35 a month to invest in a Stocks and Shares ISA, I have looked at two ISA's from Virgin, the Bond and Gilt ISA and the FTSE All share ISA, Which one would you recommend to be the better? also if you know of any other recommended S&S ISA's I would be grateful if you could tell me about them.
Thanks!!!!!

The Virgin ISA is not worth it. You can buy Virgin funds in most fund supermarkets and in many cases cheaper than buying direct from Virgin.
I suggest you research risk and reward as well as you need to understand that if you are going to invest. You cannot compare a FTSE all share ISA (medium/high risk, mid table performer) with a fixed interest fund (low risk) in the same way.
Are you a medium/high risk investor (ie. willing to accept potential losses of upto around 50% in a given 12 month period)?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Hi, I would say that I am not willing to lose 50% in a given 12 month period, so probably a low to medium risk investment would be better, can you make any reccomendations please?0

That means you need to avoid the FTSE trackers then. When you say low to medium, what do you mean by that in loss terms? i.e. how much are you willing to accept for it to go down in short term periods?can you make any reccomendations please?
No. It would breach FSA rules as well as board rules if I was to post fund recommendations. We can help you in your own research by giving pointers and information but we cannot recommend where you invest.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I think after thinking about it more clearly that I am after a steady return because I am not good at seeing my money fall and would think about it all the time. What does that leave me with?0

I am only happy to pay in 10 pounds a month in a medium/high risk S&S ISA such as FTSE ALL SHARE, for that amount is it worth it?0
