H3llish day at work today. Wanted to come home about 930 due to serious amounts of flooding, but stuck it out so have come home and done well not a lot as felt like pap. Cooked tea and both kids helped with the cleaning up but the outstanding flying list has been postponed until tomorrow.

Oh have also made some bread - Gluten free bread in my Remoska and its ok (will prob be horrible tomorrow as it doesnt last very well)

Had a bit of a read so

Sarahshattered - hope your pal's ok - and I'd go for a LUSH treat for her

Johanne - are you sure my OH isnt related to yours - he'll go to the butchers for a piece of beef and come out with a piece of fillet for £35

lilme - hope your Pa-in-law gets back ok. Good news on MOT

    More hugs for Dustyboys

    Sending hot water for Valli

Nice to see you getting DD involved nicki, it seems to be working with my lot(well when I feel like it as well it does)

Altho I've got a lot to do from this week - namely bedrooms, think I'll go and what the weekend list has in store. If I dont pop back hope you all have a good one and manage some quality time with your OH's and familys.

thanx.gif so much for all your prayers. vibes, thoughts, etc. for my dad

Have just popped in to let you know that all seems to have gone ok and he is doing well whew.gif Quite amazing seeing as I was told he could be picked up by 6 p.m. yesterday but when I arrived at 5:20 he'd only just gone to theatre .... and we were back at his house by half past 8!!!!!!!

He is tired and in a bit of pain (which wouldn't be AS bad if he took his painkillers at the right time!!!) but doing great for a (nearly) 74 year old yay2.gif

No flying done as I've been at his house / work but should get some done over the weekend.

Thanks again for everything and goodvibes.gif hugs for all who need them.

  • Hiya, managed to take off all the burnt bits of the cake and ended up with a cake half the size! Put some whipped cream on and some decoration, yummy! DS1 was well happy he had helped mummy make a cake. Managed to get most of the bathroom finished this evening.

Right my list for the weekend:

    1. Empty out the bathroom cabinet.. clean it.. fling what you don't need and stash the rest in a beautiful manner.. colour ordered so you have a cupboard rainbow..
    2. Hoover cobwebs behing the toilet I spotted earlier - yuck! And mop the floor.
    1. Attack the mountain of hotspot piles in our bedroom
    2. Fill out nursery forms for DS1
    3. Buy a wall chart or calendar
    4. Remember to drink lots of water
    5. Laundry - Sort, wash, dry, fold or iron, and put away
    6. Hoover whole house
    7. Sort through DS2's clothes and charity items that he has grown out of
    8. Take charity items to charity shop
    9. Put ebay items on ebay
    10. Find letter confirming DS2's BCG appointment - which is some time in November and diarise
    11. Plan menu for the week
    12. Do a dry run to nursery and back to see how long it actually takes me there and back.
I think I'm going to hit the sack - I can feel my cold getting worse.

Good night - and hope everyone has a good weekend. XxX
Housework only gets noticed when it's not done.
My fake plants died because I did not pretend to water them.
Can never keep up with the thread - otherwise I'll never get anything done! But hugs to All :grouphug:

    froddington great news!
kaz ((hugs)) hope tomorrow is a better day
flybaby hope you feel better in the morning

Decided to go up to the caravan tomorrow as the weather has been vile and last time the flooded roads were a nightmare in the dark, then trying to set up and not knowing what I was standing in puddle wise, nah, tomorrow will do. DP then moaned saying I should have gone, pah, it was his Ebay thing that was the reason I stayed at home until it was too late!!!

Tonight, I've done sweet bog all really :o I have relaxed and eaten an icecream since I got the boys to bed, oh and cleaned up some mud the dog dragged in. So, midnight blitz time, I tend to work better at this time of night (probably comes from the fact most jobs I've done were nights) so will see if I can get something done before midnight :o
One day I might be more organised...........

I'm going to the pubic louse.. should anyone care to join me?

I rang you earlier (twice) but you didn't pick up so NOPE I'm not coming to the pub.....now.:p

Just me and a glass of red......on my lonesome......well OH has just got back so not quite so alone now....:D

Anyway I'm now the proud owner of a shiney new 10 litre silver kitchen bin.

I like it and this means that rubbish will be placed in the said bin and peace shall reign in our house. I hope.

Aside from that washing in/out. Hung on banister and maiden, made tea and cleared up a bit.

Swept dining room and kitchen floor and bought some dishwasher tablets as I'd ran out. Thats it really.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get a bit more done.

Night all catch you tomorrow. xx

Pleased you had a good night mudbath, well done for grabbing some me time
Triker hope the new bin provides harmony, I have too many bins (according to DP) but they all have a purpose.

Well have done quite a lot, packed my towels for tomorrow and a few other bits. I've cleaned the kitchen some more, much better, did the floor again after the dog ran through placing as much muddy water on the floor as possible. Took clean laundry upstairs, tidied some junk from sitting room, vacuumed through the sitting room and dining room. I'm pleased the house is detatched so I can vacuum when I like :D

Anyway, best go, will end up probably going swimming twice tomorrow, again, night night all x

I was thinking about this yesterday morning. I will permit THAT word to be used for two months of the year - from 1st December to 31st January. How's that for a compromise?

OK, I think I've caught up.

Dusty – hows’ the Ds’s tooth this morning?
    Lil-me – have a wonderful weekend
Frod - hope your Dad’s feeling less sore this morning

I had a quiet day yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it though I'm still a bit tired. I dug the laptop out and sat in the living room and did some local history research. I've been planning to write a book for a couple of years now. The optimum time to have it published is in 18 months time. If I don't actually finish the research and do some writing I'll have missed the boat! I got quite lost in Nova Scotia banking history and one of the families that was involved in it.

Also did a bit of research for Dusty - you'll have mail later today D!

The only flying I did was to wash my bedding. Put it out on the line and then, fortunately, brought it back in about 1 minute before the heaven's opened and we had a terrific thunderstorm with torrential rain for about an hour.

Went next door for Friday night gin and gossip. Cooked bangers and mash for tea. Settled down to watch Taggart then promptly fell asleep in the armchair! Woke up about 10.30pm and went straight to bed.

Still feeling a bit blurggggh this morning and bunged up. I will try and do a bit more today. Have promised nice neighbour I'll follow her up the road about 9am when she drops her car off for MOT and then drive her back. Hairdresser's due about 3.30pm to do my highlights but those are my only plans.

I'll think about what else I'll do once the mist outside has cleared and I can see what sort of day we're having weatherwise.
