Does anyone know why grated pre-packaged cheese is cheaper than buying a block??
Ooh Sarah I can see why you're puzzled - I'll check if Morrisons is the same but I too would have thought grated would be more expensive - never even checked as I have always assumed this!
When I worked in Littlwoods food hall as a saturday girl (many moons ago) we used to sell cheese cheaply - labelled as cooking cheese. It was offcuts, almost out of date carp to be got rid of. Incidentally we always had VERY clean hands handling cheese! No blue gloves back then!
Interestingly I can see the smilies on preview - buit not when the post is up!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
