Mine were all BF on demand.. and they are all just teeny.. and 2 are teenier than teeny.. lol... I was told DD4 was 'just perfect' even though her height had fallen off the bottom of the charts and her weight was even lower!! I said.. 'but she is 5 not 3'... 'oh! Really?!' ... says the paed..

exactly! they are what/who they are - you cannot win - can you. I think that they should look at where the babes are developmentally - and even then it should be reasonably wide...when DD was admitted to hospital with asthma at 22 months she was not speaking...but she was understanding IYKWIM and they were beginning to make a big thing about that - well why would a very physically able child trouble to tell you what whe wanted when she could just climb up and get it...

and at the age of 30 months this is the babe who announced she would no longer wear a nappy to sleep in! And at this age I was constantly translating for her!

G&B, you've got me hooked on different clips on UT now - whats with Miss Teen south carolina?

Thanks to everyone for your lovely words about DS - Yes, I am very proud of him and hope he can continue - still scares me that he is in his last year of school - where has the time gone?

I think it was Hollyh who mentioned calendars? A company called Vista Print are doing some at the moment with free postage or something too - they're quite good for stuff like that.

Did absolutly nothing today, but off tomorrow and if I can stay awake I will get some stuff done then..

Here we are an hour later and I've not done a thing except eat.

    HHC time . . .

UPDATE: half an hour later . . .
Bit of a waste of time - went to change bed but a cat was on it
    Pulled sheets of DS3 bed
Hung out a load of washing
Got pots from back yard and put in front yard to get ready to put strawberry plants in
    Put rubbish in bin
    Sorted some recycling
And I'm now trying to do a grocery list.

Will carry on with that :)

    Morning all

Feeling knackered and bunged up this morning. Having my first cup of tea. Once that's done, I shall make a decision on whether or not I need a duvet day....

  • had a busy evening last night. there was a massive order which came in around teatime, i spent all evening making it up and two friends came round to help me pack it and make tea:)

hence not much housework got done last night:(

have to pop to shops this morning for a couple of bits, put petrol in the car and then i will be coming home and starting on the housework list!

need to put a wash on in a bit, and hang that on the airer. ds1&2 are off to their dads for the weekend so will need to get their things sorted out.

will try and fit in HHI some time today, but that may well get done this evening. i am hoping that after the mania of the 1st proper week back to school next week will calm down a bit for me...there have been so many things i have needed to get done this week after having the kids at home for the holidays and loads i cant do with ds3 in tow.

so far i have one appointment booked in for monday next week and dd has an inset day on the friday (shocker!)

hope everyone is doing ok with their lists will update later:)

soappie - hope you have a good day - even if it is only a duvet day. Sometimes we need those!
JD - Housework will always be there - don't worry that you were busy doing something else last night!

I went uptown to do the banking, and ended up spending an hour in the Library. Brought home about six books - mostly self help-type ones LOL. And I need all the help I can get

Have come home and got the washing in, changed sheets on my bed, put load of sheets in WM ready to turn on later. Now off to get dinner sorted.

Have a great day, everyone :)

Right, duvet day it is. The cup of tea has helped a tad and I'm on my second but I really feel blurggghhhh.

But, I won't make it a duvet day in the truest sense. I shall potter. I ought to go and see'f I can get my eyes retested. I've been having trouble with my new glasses all week. I've a sneaky feeling the prescription is wrong. I'll make a couple of phone calls later.

I'm now going to go and soak in the bath.

  • Morning All:hello:

Hope everyone is ok this morning. The house isn't looking too bad, so that's pretty good. I walked the dog with my friend yesterday. Her dog and mine were running around like maniacs, when suddenly my boy ran straight into her, taking her right off her feet, and flat on her face.

She absolutely assured me she was fine, just a little shaken. So we finished our walk, and when we got back to the cars, my Mum was waiting for me with her dogs, so I went on one of my Mum's 'super long' walks with her. Got back even more Shattered than usual!!!!

Text my friend to see how she was? Turns out, she'd gone home, "conked out" ending up for 3hours at A&E with concussion!!!!!!!!    Worst of all, she's missed the Madonna concert she was due to go to

I feel so bad, it my my dog that took her off her feet. _pale_ :(

Anyway, the upshot of the 2 long walks was... mega sofa crash out at 7pm. OH woke me up at 11pm to go to bed. Still yawning now!

Not sure what to do - if anything about my friend. She's on a diet 'lighter life' I think it's called. So, she can't eat anything other than what's scheduled for her, so none of the usual cake/pudding/soup/chocolates/wine to make her feel better.... which is what I would normally do.

     Ideas anyone??
