Why should she be immune from the law?

A good result for tenants, I'd say
Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

It's from the Dail Mail, so almost certainly complete rubbish.0

Well maybe, but the fact is that a judge can't just say 'he's a rapist, so we ignore the law.'
We do live in a civilised country, with the rule of law, and judges are required to uphold it.
There are very specific procedures to be followed to evict and they weren't followed.
It's just a stupid article, if she'd had the sense to spend 15 minutes doing research about what the correct procedure to follow was she'd have had no problems.0 -
Absolutely barking. I've just read the same story in another paper so it is not just the Daily/Sunday Mail.
This animal received tax payers money to 'fight' his case. Until this country starts to treat decent people with more respect than a criminal, it will never become a better place to live.
He was jailed for life. Is the landlady expected to keep the place for him to move back in in 20 years' time? She should have served notice in the prescribed manner but a slapped wrist would have been sufficient. It should never have gone to Court.
The rapist's solicitor should be shamed.

Mail on Sunday. The Sunday Mail is a different paper. This animal received tax payers money to 'fight' his case. Until this country starts to treat decent people with more respect than a criminal, it will never become a better place to live.

She's supposed to follow the law. That's why he's in prison, for breaking it.0 -
Regardless. There should not have been a case to answer.
People who stick up for this rapist make my blood boil.

As soon as your convicted of any serious crime all your rights should be immediatly removed......seeing as you didn't bother to stick to the law of the land.....or think about anyones else rights when you commited the crime.

I bet you wouldn't be saying that if he had raped you!If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

That is an extremely foolish argument. Aside from the fact that the clearance of his flat took place before he was convicted [so he was entitled to be treated as innocent], this is all about respecting other peoples' rights. He did not respect his victims' rights, but if we don't respect his rights then we pull the rug from under our own feet for finding fault with him.As soon as your convicted of any serious crime all your rights should be immediatly removed......seeing as you didn't bother to stick to the law of the land.....or think about anyones else rights when you commited the crime. After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?0 -

as i said when CONVICTED!! crime has RISEN geatly since prisoners started to get their rights......so you do the maths
I'm very much for innocent till proven guilty.....but once convicted....then your rights should be removed
This guy didn't just steal a car or commit fraud......he raped a teenager....not once but twice.....rights my !!!
we'll see if you think guys like this should have rights when your the victimIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

In what I would hope is still a civilised society, the law should apply to everyone. Even scumbags. The landlady should have followed the correct procedure.
Although if I were the Judge I'd award him a token amount only.0
