  • I have done my clicks and collected up my various vouchers and put them in my purse ready to use.

AND I shredded three lots of credit card cheques so I am not tempted to panic use them.

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I've got a wedding at the end of the month and am absolutely determined that my outfit is not going to cost me a penny. I've got a really nice apricot shirt dress in my cupboard that I haven't worn yet (terrible I know) and have paired it with some light brown shoes and a cream cardigan. So far so good.

But, I need a bag and havent got one that goes. OK, I could go down to town and potentially pick one up for a fiver but I figure that once you cave in like that, buying other things you don't need gets easier to do. So. I'm picking apart an old (ruined) bag that I was going to throw out and am taking off all the bits I can use (zips, magnetic fasterners etc). I've got some red chinese satin style fabric in my sewing box and am going to make a small clutch bag to take.

Wish me luck, it's not going to be easy!
Trying to only spend money when I absolutely have to.
Barclaycard: £4559-1500 = £3059 (Will have £900 to add to that end of September)

    Hi All,
Today I went to WW, and avoided buying a drink £2 towards my hols :j, but I did have to get some aftersun and some anti-septic wipes, so bought these in Boots, and used my vouchers for a free exfoliating face wash and a cheap nail varnish £1.25ish.

I have given up on looking online for a holiday, I will go on Saturday with hubby and book something. I think we have narrowed the choice down to somewhere in Majorca. It will be great to get out of the country for a while, and just have me and him time. At the moment, my nan is doing ok (in hosp), we think that she has had another stroke, so we need to take a phone on holiday with us (just in case).

So, not very DFW today, need to crack on with this (perhaps after the hols).

    Take care everyone

    Sophiesmum, hope you are ok

Andan, good luck driving on the motorway today. I remember my first motorway journey was Basingstoke to Hook via M3 to get a loaf of bread from Tescos. There was my Hubby in the rear seat, and my brother in the passenger seat instructing me....Fun :jBTW, as you have read, I have not booked anything for my hols.
