Why is it going up from £36 to £56? Were you on an introductory deal where the broadband was £20 cheaper for the first so many months or something? Or is it that you haven't been paying enough direct debit and you need to pay more to pay back to debt?
We pay BT £25 a month (broadband from someone else) and it feels like we hardly ever use the phone. It's just the way it is unfortunately. The few calls you do make each week add up and using the phone is much more expensive than it used to be.
£56 is definitely too much though. I think a reasonable price for phone + broadband is in the £35 to £45 range. You need to find out why it is going up. One cut you can probably make is to change your broadband package - do you need unlimited downloads? Maybe it will be better to switch to someone else for the broadband, especially if you're not happy with the customer service.0 -
