Not sure yet! I know where I won't move to (Barclays is one), but I'm going to have to check these boards to see what people think. I'm thinking either A&L, for better interest rates, or maybe Lloyds or HSBC.0 -
I would suggest that Natwest have managed to blend a fatal combination of idiocy, and pure evil.
I've also been declined for a credit card, and the reason apparently was because I use my interest free overdraft, which THEY suggested I have.
Natwest staff are some of the most irritating, complacent and stupid people I have ever met. I'm a planning a strategic move away from them very shortly.
In the nicest possible way, I am so pleased I am not alone. It really feels sometimes like Natwest have something against me personally. I have banked with them for about 17 years and not once have I ever been accepted for a loan or a cc, yet they seem overly keen to give me whopping great big overdrafts - it just doesn't make any sense.
Let me know if you get on any better with a subsequent bank!Got Halifax Classic to reduce my interest rate by 5% woohoo - 10/06/08 Thanks MSE!
Another 3% shaved off 10/12/08
ANOTHER 4 % June 09:beer:0 -

Yes - they gave my boyfriend an interest free overdraft, and then accidentally charged him interest, 19.9%! Took 4 months to sort the problem out, they were about a responsive and proactive as someone in a coma!0
