I think people are forgetting that the occasional sane person may come to this board looking for some reasonable advice on when to buy a property. All he sees is a bunch of idiots making in-jokes at each other's expense. I know the weather's bad, but there must be something better to do.

It was a serious point I was making, namely that people who have decided to buy will come up with all sorts of justifications for their actions and no amount of argument will shift them. You're right though that I should have spelled that out, rather than just pointing out the cliche.

Does anyone really come into the the HPC board for help? If they're looking for house buying or mortgage related info they'll go to those respective boards.
The HPC sub forum is for all the weirdos to meet and talk doom and gloom, sl ag people off, make accusations of multiple usernames/insanity/bullying and generally keep the 'street's clear on the other more useful forums.
