I think people are forgetting that the occasional sane person may come to this board looking for some reasonable advice on when to buy a property. All he sees is a bunch of idiots making in-jokes at each other's expense. I know the weather's bad, but there must be something better to do.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Did this really need a new thread?0 -
I think we are just chatting amongst ourselves until the next punter comes through the doors with a sensible question or statement. Then we will answer in a variety of ways, using our own particular twisted logic to distort the truth, and said punter will be much informed as a result. The punter will then ignore any advice, as they already have their own opinion, and an argument will develop, turning into a slanging match.
I am obviously on hand to contribute as best I can in all eventualities.0 -

This forum become its own little encapsulated world a long time ago and seems to have a new purpose, which it is fulfilling pretty well.0

"As the snow flies
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin'
A poor little baby child is born..."
Whassssssssup hommies, just thought it was worth mentioning that on the main forum board this little patch of turf is described as so:
"If you're keen to chat about the ups and downs of house prices then this is the place to do it"
Isn't that what we do?
If people want advice on whether to buy a property in the current economic climate they would probably be better off posting on the parent board, rather than asking us second class citizens for advice, or, better yet, visiting a psychiatrist.

I find this forum kinda fun
There are facts out their, that cannot be disputed.
1, house prices are falling
2. this is good thing for the majority of people, even those who have property.
3. FTB's are allowed a little gloating, they have had enough s**t in the past 8 years.
4. If you buy now, you need a strait jacket, UNLESS you absolutely have no choice,
Everything else is up for opinion and conjecture.:beer:0 -
Not safe for small children or the easily offended, but apt for here.
http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19/"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.0 -
Maybe it is me but i must say i am getting very tired of coming into this board to be bombarded with new threads hourly having a pop at this, that and the other groups of people being told to grow up, stop talking doom and gloom, personally naming members etc.
Guys, if you do not like it please, go elsewhere.
TBH i know that it can be tiresome but find it quite entertaining at times. This is why i will be staying lol....0 -
No more arguing just face the facts -
Prices are dropping, they will continue to drop and so they should as house prices are still 25-30% overpriced in my humble opinion.
The end0
