It took my OH a couple of years to grasp this concept, but he is used to it now. (He is also used to the idea that if a £20 item cost £5 in a sale you do not have to spend another £15 on top!)
I think his attitude stems from MiL -give her something homemade and she turns her nose up , says thankyou and puts it away never to be seen again.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
