    No No its ok :)

Firefox is really easy to use for comping :) - You can autofill fields, eg: Name, address which is really easy for comps :)

Snap links lets you select a range of comps and opens them all instead of separatly clicking :)

    Hope I helped :D

sorry I am probably being really dim ect - I know FF is another browser But can you please help and tell me why its used by peeps here with this snap links - what do they do and how do I get them.

Sorry if its been covered on here tons and I have managed to whizz past it

    pls helpx

There's some information about Firefox and how it can make comping easier over on this thread:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1014121&p=12237911

Recently the Autofill extension I use in place of Roboform (I'm on Linux, shame they don't do a version for us!) stopped working. The context menu entry for "add entire form" suddenly disappeared. I'm not sure but I think it was down to a conflict with SnapLinks or Linky. Anyway, if you're new to Firefox, I wouldn't install too many extensions all at the same time, that's my advice!
  • Hi
I just logged on again to see if there has been a decision made about hte comps ending threads - when i was last on we were told the powers that be were discussing it.

I've come back and can't see anything on the stickies saying yes or no or whether the decision is still pending and i'm not going to wade through pages and pages of the discussion thread to try to find out (i just don't have the time)so at the risk of annoying those that are here and watch every comment and are sick of people asking....what's happening?

    Kirsteen

p.s. i hope we still get them as I'm thinking it will be easier to go to another site to access comps ending that day, the new search is fine, but it's still a clunky way of doing it, I just want to click a button and have them there, not have to scroll through pages to find the right end date :(

Did you read this sticky posted today?

As we have stopped the competitions ending threads due to numerous complaints and arguments. We now have a new way of finding comps by date. This makes it easier for everyone as they can then search for the date they want rather than waiting for the competition ending threads.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

There is a sticky at the top of the Forum now - How To Find Competitions Ending By Date which starts off with "As we have stopped the competitions ending threads due to numerous complaints and arguments."

Would be a shame to see you go Kirsteen

Shame to see you go if you do, but if you feel that rather than click a few buttons and joining in with our little comping community that is what you have to do then so be it.

But there is no point in being emotionally blackmailed into keeping something that will cause continual arguments.

Sorry if that offends but I'm fed up reading sob stories (and I've had a few drinks!)

  • :( To be honest it's responses like these that are making me want to leave the boards. Since I posted asking about this last week there just have been quite a few resplies to me which have felt defensive and unpleasant - something which I haven't experienced up to now on this site. I think being open about my feelings isn't trying to emotionally blackmail anyone. My intentions aren't to hurt anyone elses feelings, though I sometimes wonder if people responding to me are.
