I have been comping for about 2 years, you need to try and enter as many as you can, but never expect to win, I have gone without winning for about 2 months and was very disheartened, but then as soon as you get a win it gives you the motivation again. Within the 2 years I have done pretty well. But I find its best never expect it - but I do seem to have a feeling when I wake up that I will receive a WEM or one through the post, any-one else????

Yeah every day but nothing comes :D

Do you all opt out of mailings etc? I do but I wonder sometimes whether it makes a difference?
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

I tend to opt in, in the hope it gives me a better chance but so far have one nothing, so doesn't seem to:confused:

I've only just started comping and it's the anticipation that I love. Will today be the day? Logging in to my email just might see a WEM (took me a while to work out what they are LOL) and when the 'phone rings it just might be good news. I never used to get personal post, now even a sticker from the Freebies thread is exciting.

Does anyone know whether there is a Roboform type of programme that is compatible with VISTA?

If you check out Velvet Gloves comping guide contains some useful help and advice on exactly these topics. It's a sticky on the main comps board or click here:):)

I use Roboform Pro with Vista, wouldn't be able to manage without it. Can't remember how much it cost, about £20 I think but totally worth the investment.

Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.
  • Its all luck - i guess thats stating the obvioud - but the more u enter the better the odds - ive been comping for about 13 months - only won about 10 prizes ... 2 in the last month - granted 2 wins have been big ! won loose women 3k in january - and on monday i won 2.5k worth of neff kitchen appliances from ITV!!

Its really enjoyable - and i actually look forward to the postman - makes a nice change from always getting bills !

i usually do my comps at work , passes the time ! ... whooops gota run , manager coming !

Thank you Jess123 & Drea. I asked because I have had problems with a few progs that say they are VISTA compatible and have proved not to be, I just wanted to be sure.
