You can always cancel the insurance once you sell it Brightonman & as other people have said if you don't feel you can get the insurance then don't enter the comps to win cars.

I didn't know the best place to post this but am just looking for opinions... recently I've had a lot of parcels go missing & I'm a bit concerned something dodgy is going on.

I've had 3 competition wins go missing in the post that I know of, I had a book that got sent but didn't arrive, they sent it out again & it didn't arrive so the third time they had to send it recorded.

Same thing has happened with a few other wins, I also always get a few unexpected wins each month & have had none this month, Infact theres so many days I haven't had any mail through at all even though usually i get a load of junk through...

Not only this but things I have actually bought from websites have gone missing, I ordered a jewellery set for my neice, it has been sent out twice to me but not arrived so yet again they are having to send it recorded to make sure I get it, a pair of trainers for my daughter never arrived & a few other bits..

It's making me want to stop ordering online, its trusted well known sites I have ordered with so not scams.... also makes me wonder if its worth me entering comps if things are going missing

I've contacted Royal Mail a few times but they just ignore me.... would you be worried if this had happened to you or am I just over reacting??

Hi Laura. Do you live near me by any chance? We've ordered stuff and it's never arrived too. Items from both CD Wow and Play.com actually. Wins have never gone missing though. I reckon there are a few dodgy people at sorting offices, there must be - they can tell what's in a parcel and I'm sure it's easy to swipe things. I'm sure most are completely honest and would never dream of it, but it only takes one or too to cause a problem.

Laura - don't know how much it would help but have you tried the freebies board and their Royal Mail Survey thread (used to be fed-up of postie thread). Perhaps it has a complaints email addy or such like

On a different matter could someone tell me how I "enable Javascript" in ff? Tried to join a site this morning that wouldn't let me because of this. Only just started using ff after years of IE

Tools -> options -> content -> tick box to enable

.... 25-30 entries a day should be enough to start winning?

I have been comping for a couple of months and have won a grand total of b*gger all.

I did win on the big snap 2 site but then there was a runtime error so I couldn't claim

I do really enjoy comping though so at least I have that!
