I get a lot of these every day, although I always delete them unopened (as none of them are banks I have any dealings with), so wouldn't know if they had my personal details in them.
I got one from 'ebay' the other day - it was very good, but I just had an off feeling about it, so didn't click on the links but went to ebay and checked my account - which was fine. I forwarded the email to ebay who confirmed it was a 'spoof' - fake email.
Worrying to know this one had your details in Jade. I hope you forwarded it to internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk who say they will investigate and make sure the fake site is closed down asap.
eta - I can't get mailwasher to work either - only works with some emails
Yeah i forwarded it to barclays, so i'm sure they are investigating. It is worrying as i have never had one with my personal details in before. Scares me as i think "how much more of my information do they have?" I am keeping a close eye on my bank/paypal accounts etc but it does scare me!2008 wins: £1713.20

Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!       I'm currently posting from my lappy because my PC has been completely destroyed by a virus.       Be careful everyone if you get an email from Hawaiin Airlines because I didn't open the attachment (which contains the virus according to a quick search on Google) and my PC has still been infected.
I know it's not as serious as having bank details stolen but it's still bloody annoying when you lose everything on your PC.
Always try to have a back up on a spare hard drive just incase this happens, saves installing everything all over again.
As for the e-mail's i'm many people will have contacted their banks etc about it but the source of details comes from websites where you have entered your details in for comps. Hackers gain access and take the data for there own personal use but 9/10 times they will never get caught due to the natural of new programs wrote ie fake IP addresses being pinged across the WWW.
My advice is delete the e-mail  start a fresh scan of your hard drive with whatever anti virus software u may have and also update your downloads for the anti virus software on a daily basis
So long as you don't submit details or click on the clicky within the body of the e-mail you should be ok.
I use various software from attacks or fake e-mails.............infact i've got more protection than DurexJust Remember What Ol' s0ulassassin Does When The Earth Quakes, & The Poison Arrows Fall From The Sky, & The Pillars Of Heaven Shake. Also another tip is don't save your login/password details when logging on to your bank account or any other sites that hold card details on ROBOFORMJust Remember What Ol' s0ulassassin Does When The Earth Quakes, & The Poison Arrows Fall From The Sky, & The Pillars Of Heaven Shake. I've had a couple of these but haven't touched them. I would advise everyone to do the same. I don't do online banking anyway... and I'm totally going to send them my details :rolleyes:0
