to sum up what i should do acording to your experience (using your 1 to 4 points)
1 only use it on one day/date for a couple hours to test
2 how can i get the right phone number to request the return envelope? if the one provided is wrong?
3 so i should definately return the sim card even if it instructs you not to?
4 where do you get this tracking number? on the returns envelope? or do you get this tracking number once they confirm receipt of the returned dongle?
any thoughts bstock, are REALLY appreciated. i always have problems cancelling stuff lol.
2. If you ordered off their website the number is 08703331831
3. Probably best to ask when you phone - don't forget to jot down the advisors name as well - just in case. If they confirm you have to send the sim card back its a good idea to change the security code from the default for a bit of security
4. The tracking number you will get from the Post Office when you return the modem in the prepaid special delivery envelope that you have to wait for from three
I think I covered the rest in my previous posting.
By the way just today I received my disconnection number :beer:

I'm on a contract with Virgin till next April.

You need the sim card for the dongle otherwis you would have to use a different network which probably wouldn't work anyway. It is nothing to do with your mobile phone or mobile phone contract. (this info from my techie son so I hope it is correct)Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

confused;
Full price 5GB £15mth x 18mths £270
Quidco price 5GB £7.50 x 18mths £135 + £12.50 cashback Total = £122.50
i cant see this offer on quidco, only the 5gb one.... the 3 site itself has the above offer for existing customers only, which i am not.. anyone any idea how i can get this 7.50 5gb offer?0 -
I'm sure this is old news to most, but never mind....
Watch out for the coverage in your area - 3 claimed I should have excellent coverage for their internet. LIES! Having finally managed to get my dongle to work I discover the speed is akin to dial up. Not amused. I shall be returning the dongle asap. I'm so disappointed! I had great hopes for 3 and their mobile internet magic. Hope everyone else gets on ok.0
