on that availability checker above...if you are purple you are ok. i punched in my postcode, central glasgow and the map can up with a dull purple tinge to it. hope that's ok because i bought it yesterday! delivery saturday hopefully.
If you are purple you are *PROBABLY* OK, I had one for my mum who is in a purple area, but due to local terrain and buildings it would not work in her house. End of the garden 5 bars of signal, but in the house nothing.
The checked is just a best indication based on location, it does not account for buildings and local terrain.0 -
I bought this yesterday, being delivered on Sat. I didn't know you had to be a 3 customer, we are not. Do you think it will be ok. It is for my son not me. He has been on the 3 website and it is asking for a mobile no. I ordered it through quidco and didn't see any mention of it being for existing customers. Also I worried that he will exceed the 5 gig as he sownloads a LOT.Have you seen the fees for going 1 gig over. £120. omg Should I send it back. Don't know what to do now.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Ok I just checked with an online advisor at 3. And he says I don't need a mobile phone. Whew. So if you have not got one you can still get the broadband. As to the downloading. He will just have to do big downloads at home on the home broadband.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

You will probably get one through 3 when you sign up with them. Or you can just use a free web based account, I use Googlemail which I find excellent but there are various others out there hotmail or yahoo for example.I'd rather be fishing....0 -
hi, just wanted to let everyone know that you can get 3 mobile broadband at excellent prices but the best way to get it is through the cashback website http://www.TopCashBack.co.uk/3_Mobile.htm you can earn £15 for the 1GB dongle, £40 for the 3GB dongle and a whopping £80 for the 7GB!!0

It appears as thought you have to pay the full price per month as opposed to the half price available through Quidco.
Full price 1GB £10mth x 18mths £160
Quidco price 1GB £5mnth x 18mths £80 + £1.50 cashback Total = £78.50
Full price 5GB £15mth x 18mths £270
Quidco price 5GB £7.50 x 18mths £135 + £12.50 cashback Total = £122.50
Full price 15GB £30mth x18mths £540
Quidco price 15GB £15 x 18mths £270 + £27.50 cashback Total = £242.50
It appears as though the savings through Quidco out weigh the cashback through TopCashBack. Someone please correct me if my maths is wrong.I'd rather be fishing....0
