asking for my sister

hi there
my sister signed up to 3 mobile broadband with free laptop etc, it says 14 days to see if you like it in the t&c's/small print etc. anyway they arent happy with it as in her words its rubbish keeps cutting off etc so they have just phoned 3 and were told they only had 3 days to make their mind up if they liked it or not, not 14 and that they cant cancel it as they have used too much of it?????
can anyone please tell me if they are within their rights to cancel or not and what they can do about it, as if they dont let them cancel it they are stuck in a 2yr contract.

If she is still within the 14 days and she still has the terms and conditions with 14 days stated, she must write a letter to their registered office or the communication address given in the terms and conditions saying that she is cancelling in accordance with terms and conditions.

Send letter recorded delivery and keep copies and the counterfoil. Don't waste time phoning or emailing and ASKING. You must TELL them clearly.

Your sister has the terms and conditions, she should know whether she has the right. It is no good asking here, because we can't see the terms and conditions.

    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?
