Can I ask Emmao, why do you not get working tax credit, the childcare element? Look at Entitled.com.

Your mortgage company do not have to helpful, they can be b*rstewards. You need to seek independant help from CAB, or one of the debt charities, do it as soon as possible, and get rid of GP, they are making money from you, choose a debt charity.

  • If you're with virgin for TV services you should be able to bring the cost down by phoning them and threatening to leave. Look on their website to see what their latest offers for new customers are and aim for that. There are threads about this here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=188239

will take you to the old style board. If you take a look through the September grocery challenge at the top of the page you'll see how some people are trying to save money on cooking and cleaning etc.

    Good luck!

    Welcome to the board.

Are you saying when you are paid at the end of September you pay the arrears as well as the normal mortgage amount, if not don't panic. Your priority debts are the mortgage, arrears, gas and electricity and secured loans. Only send in token payments to credit cards/unsecured loans this month in order for you to catch up on your mortgage arrears. There are letters on this board which can use to send to your credit card/unsecured creditors.

If you post an SOA (incomings and outgoings) we will see if we can help you reduce your outgoings.

Where would I find the copy of a letter to send to an unsecured creditor?
  • Try and sell as much 'stuff' as you can on ebay - one mans trash is another mans treasure.

Also check out the NCT website 'National Childrens Trust' I think its https://www.nct.org .uk - you will have a local one near you and twice a year - usually Spring and Autumn they will have 'NCT Sales' - this is where you can sell your childs old toys/clothes etc - you don't have your own stall you are given lables and you put your unique number on the lable and price it up - the nct do take a commisiion usually 25% but you don't have to be there for the sale - you drop your goods off in the morning say at 7.30am and then the doors open to the customers around 9am - you go back at 1pm to pick up your cheque and any unsold items ............... I've been doing this for a few years now - in fact I'm in the middle of sorting out some stuff now - all my maternity clothes - I'd get more for them at the sale than ebay and if they don't sell this time then I'll ebay them!
