Help Please!!!

Hiya

think some of your advice on here is excellent and wonder if you can help me, last year my husband lost his job, and we missed two morgage payments, since january we have made every paymenment plus a extra £100.00 (agreed for arrears)
This month I was poorly and could only afford £250.00 (statory sick pay) so we are £450.00 behind in our morgage.

My husband has rang to speak to them to see how they can help, to be told they demand the balance today or will start legal proceedings, i am 3 months pregnant with a four year old chiild and petrefied we could now loose our house.

we cannot pay this money , only when i get paid on 25th Sept i can pay the usual £700.00

We are on interest only as it is, and have awful credit rating, we are with morgage express.

We have tried to speak to them a number of times, to be told there is nothing they can do to help,

Pretty poor considering we are practically begging for their help

can anyone advice what to do ??:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    Welcome to the board.

Are you saying when you are paid at the end of September you pay the arrears as well as the normal mortgage amount, if not don't panic. Your priority debts are the mortgage, arrears, gas and electricity and secured loans. Only send in token payments to credit cards/unsecured loans this month in order for you to catch up on your mortgage arrears. There are letters on this board which can use to send to your credit card/unsecured creditors.

If you post an SOA (incomings and outgoings) we will see if we can help you reduce your outgoings.

ah bless you thanks for your relpy, i can still only afford max £900 at the end of the month, towards the morgage (and arrears)
when they say they are starting legal proceedings does that mean we will be repossesed, bearing in mind we are already in arrears..
I cant believe how unhelpful they are, fair enough we should pay them but when you ask for help and dont get it what can you do?

how do i fill in an income and expenditure form so you can see it xxx:confused:

If you pay £900 at the end of the month, how much will the total arrears be then.

    Hi,

Sorry the above seems a bit blunt above.

If you are in debt on priority accounts, then you should not be paying anything to unsecured debtors, beyond £1 token payment, until you are sorted out.

Also, your budget is reasonable for a DMP, but the stark reality is that you cannot afford to live up to the allowance that offers and pay off your secured arrears, so you need to cut quite a lot off you monthly expenditure to cover the arrears.

if this is gambling debts are the accounts all in his name? Is there any equity in the house?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
