Sony Ericsson K850i - won't switch on

Hi

I have a second-hand K850i that was working fine until last week when I dropped it. Now it won't switch on. The on/off button lights up if i put it on charge but that is it. I have removed and rpelaced battery and SIM.

Is there any mobile phone experts out there that can give me an idea of what the problem might be?

Thanks

K

It could be a few problems, but if you ask MSE Member Gaming_Guy he may be able to help you, It may be just a case of the flex becoming loose or something along thos lines.

    Hi

I downloaded Seus but when I got to the bit where I need to plug phone into PC nothing happened. I tried a few times.

So maybe it is a hardware fault - is it worth me taking it somewhere to see if it can be fixed or is the phone a lost cause?

    Thanks

dont start SEUS for this test.

just plug the cable into the computer, then press and hold 'c' (on the phone) and plug the phone into the cable. see if you get a new hardware found icon/message pop up, if not try it again but instead of holding 'c', hold 2 and 5 at the same time.

if it still doesnt work, try holding just 2.

otherwise if you feel brave enough try opening it up yourself, or if you dont take it to a shop/market stall

Thank-you so much for all your help gaming_guy. Unfortunately none of that worked and I have tried opening it up but only managed to get half the case off. I suppose I will need to find a shop.:D
