Silly question about share isa

Hi,

I have 300£ cash isa and get another 3000£ to save or invest.
I am wondering is it wise to open a Stocks/Shares ISA?
Is this Stocks/Shares ISA better than a saving account? Some saving accounts pay 5% and some regular saving accounts pay more.(of course I need to deduct the tax)

I know that with Stocks/Shares ISA I got linked to FTSE or something. However I have no experiences on sharedealing at all. So how much better it is for Stocks/Shares ISA compared to the saving accounts?

Many Thanks

Jerry

You cannot compare a S&S ISA with a Cash ISA.

A S&S ISA, although having the potential to produce returns far in excess of deposit rates only does so at various degrees of risk to your capital, depending on what investments you choose to put into it.

With a Cash ISA your capital is at no risk.

Only you can decide what level of risk you are willing to take with your money.
