its quite easy when they are kittens....and i think quite good fun. Hairdryer for us was a complete no no as the noise terrified them but they used to love sitting on our knee wrapped up in a towel. When they escaped, they then had mad licking time and we had to give them 5mls of oil to help the hairballs get through. (or liquid paraffin which is what our vet recommended but its more difficult to get now)DFW 228 LONG H 68

Unfortunately he will have to just put up with the noise because if we left him to air dry he'd end up full of knots and we'd have to shave him bald:rotfl:

Hi everyone,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNAGGLES!  Hope you're having a lovely day.
Just for a change, I'm miserable today!Even though I'm supposed to be on track with my money, I'm really not. Loads of DDs not gone out so being charged, over my overdraft limit. Can't get a single penny out, got hardly any diesel (and do a 50-mile round trip to work every day) and no food. And it's three weeks til pay day.
Sold stuff on eBay which I can't post out because I can't afford to pay for postage. The money I do get will go straight to my overdraft so won't help me anyway.
I'm seriously screwed. I'm such a total loser and can't believe I've let myself get into this state in only the first month of trying to get debt free.
And, to top it all off, the ex-boyf is heading to Tenerife tonight on the holiday we were both supposed to be going on (though how I would have afforded it I'm not sure!) and I still miss him so much and now all I can think about is the fact he'll be meeting loads of beautiful girls on holiday and won't be missing me at all.
Man, that was a depressing post. Sorry everyone!Evil debts: £500 Halifax One CC (16%), £500 Ulster Bank CC (19%), £500 Halifax OD (16%), £850 A&L OD (0%)

HI DB.
Sorry you're feeling so down. There are loads of people on the forum with more experience than me who will be able to help you on the financial front.
I think you need to talk to the bank. To do that you need to have a clear picture of incomings and outgoings - have you posted an SOA?
You obviously need to get some cash to see you to the end of the month... does your Mum know about your financial situation?
Its possibly just as weel you're not on holiday no matter how much it hurts to think of ex OH out enjoying himself (and from what you've said before he's more likely to be drowning his sorrows than cavorting with random wenches). If you had gone you would have been worried about how you were paying for it and digging yourself a bigger hole to come back to...
On another note (and tell me to p-off if I'm getting too personal) but are you sure its the right time for you to be coming of anti-d's. You have a lot to cope with right now without adding that to your concerns. It wouldn't be failing if its the sensible thing for you. Talk to your doctor to see what they think but remember they can't help if they don't know the full picture...
BIG BIG hugs :group hug:

Thanks Luc. I know I need to get a better idea of my incomings/outgoings. I had a go at posting a SOA a while back but I'm not sure if I was totally honestand then I had an accident in my car and that cost me about £700 that I hadn't budgeted for and that's why I'm struggling so much now.
I can't really talk to my mum about this - and even if I did I know she couldn't help me and I wouldn't want to put her in the position of having to scrape up some money from somewhere just because I've been totally stupid.
I will talk to the bank but I don't think they'll be very sympathetic to be honest. I have tried to extend my overdraft before now and have been declined. Same with my credit limits on my credit cards.
I know it's best, moneywise, not to be on hols with him but, heartwise it's like someone is constantly stabbing me and I've got a permanent lump in my throat.
I know that it may seem like it's not a good idea to come off the anti-ds and I'll have to keep an eye on it and, if I feel out of control (although I feel miserable I don't feel out of control yet) I'll be straight back at the docs - the benefit of having a large family is that I've got loads of people keeping an eye on me so should be OK!
