    mind if ask which brand and model:)

    Belkin ADSL Modem with Built-In 802.11g Wireless Router.
    It was bought years ago and original had a fault six months ago and this is replacement under their life time warranty.
    A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. In latter part of career specialising in commercial - mostly business sales.

    ^cheers:) Forgot to mention: I've had my Ozenda for nearly two years; a month ago the power adapter packed in, so bought a replacement from argos.
    BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? :shocked: OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

    cheers. Forgot to mention, I've had my Ozenda for nearly two yrs and the power adapter packed in last month, so bought another from argos. Good to see that the adapter did its job and 'saved' the router from destruction:)

  • My Linksys just gets warm. It's located in the open and vertically though with the vents top and bottom so possibly any heat has a better chance of escaping. If positioned horizontally the vents would be left and right sides with less efficient air flow.
